The Directorate of Open and Distance Learning (DODL), situated in Nadia District of West Bengal was established under the Distance Learning Council of the University of Kalyani in 2006. Approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and Distance Education Council (DEC).

DODL offers 8 Postgraduate courses in the domains of arts and science. The college offers direct admission to the students based on the merit list. 

Though, the college accepts direct admissions for the distance learning course without any entrance exam of age restrictions. But, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to get enrolled in the distance learning courses offered by the college.

DODL Nadia Admission 

The admission of DODL, University of Kalyani is open for everyone, regardless of age and entrance exam. The candidates seeking admission for the distance learning course must meet the eligibility criteria.

Note: Admission to a respective subject is confirmed only after the verification of eligibility criteria and required documents.

How to apply? 

  • Visit the official website of DODL. 
  • The application portal for the distance learning course is live on the website, once every year.
  • Once the portal opens the candidates can download the application form and enrolment form for their respective courses.
  • The candidates need to submit the course fee for their respective courses online from the website.

Documents Required:

  • Three Stamp Size colored photographs
  • Two xerox copies of the online payment receipt.
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Xerox copies of mark sheets of all previous examinations (Self-attested).
  • Other Documents mentioned in the form.

The candidate has to submit all the documents mentioned above in the DODL office. They must also bring the original documents during the time of verification.

Ques. What is the fee structure for the M.Sc. Zoology course?

Ans. M.Sc. in Zoology is a 2 years distance-learning course. The overall fee to be paid in the 1st year is Rs. 20,050 and Rs. 20,250 in the second year. 

Ques. Are there any internship programs offered by the DODL?

Ans. No, DODL does not offer any internship program for the distance learning courses.

Ques. Does the college provide any undergraduate (UG) course as well?

Ans. No, the college only offers postgraduate distance learning courses approved by UGC.

Ques. I have pursued my M.A. in History. Am I eligible to apply for M.A. in English?

Ans. Yes, a candidate holding an M.A. in History is eligible to apply for M.A. in English. In case if a candidate holds an M.A. in any other professional subjects like film studies, music is not eligible to apply.
