nKLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute is an Autonomous college in Belgaum( or Belagavi) city, Karnataka. The Science wing of the already existing Lingaraj Arts College was later named Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute after the name of Sardar Raja Lakhagouda Basavaprabhu Sirdesai who contributed a lot to the development of the college.

KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute was established in 1935 with a mission to provide quality Science Education. The college has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and approved by the All India Council Of Technical Education(AICTE). 

The institute is affiliated with Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. In the year 2013, Autonomous status was given to the institute by the UGC. The institute offers B.Sc and M.Sc programs in various fields.   1. Library: The institute library consists Textbooks, Reference books, Journals, and magazines all are available for students to read. Other written materials such as Handbooks, Reports, Data books, and encyclopedias are also available. The library can be accessed by students of both KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute and Lingaraj Arts College
  2. Hostel: 5 hostels are functioning under the KLE society. 1 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel are present on the campus for students. All the students who wish to live in the hostel are given accommodation and the vacant seats are filled by sister institutions. The mess in the hostel provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students at all times.
  3. College Canteen: The institute has a very spacious canteen in the middle of the campus which is easily accessible for all the students. A variety of foods and drinks are there for the students to enjoy in between classes.
  4. Computer Laboratory: A computer lab is there for students to use for many purposes. Many computers are put in place so that students face no hassle.
