International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning (ICDEOL) is a distance learning centre for the students who can’t able to attend regular colleges. Himachal Pradesh University, a premier institution of teaching and research in the country, is situated at Summer Hill.

Himachal Pradesh University Distance (IC DEOL) was established in 1971. IC DEOL offers UG, PG courses to the students at UG/PG/Diploma and certificate level.

It offers BA, B.Com, BCA, B.Ed. at Undergraduate level and the selection criteria in these courses is merit-based.
IC DEOL also offers MBA, MCA, M.Com, M.A, and M.Ed. courses at postgraduate level.
Selection criteria for MCA is based on the Merit of the entrance test conducted by the PG Centre of IC DEOL.

IC DEOL also offers PGDMC, PGDPM & LW, MMC, PGDCA, APGDIT and P.G Diploma in various specialization and the admission criteria for all of these courses is purely merit-based.

IC DEOL BA, B.Com and BCA Admission 2023

ICDEOL HPU offers B.A, B.Com, and BCA at Undergraduate level. Selection criteria in these courses are merit-based. Common eligibility criteria in these courses are at least 10+2 passed with the subjects as per the need of course.

Candidates in these courses are selected on merit basis.

B.A

The candidate seeking admission to B.A. 1^{^st}year with Mathematics as one of the subjects should have either 45% of marks in mathematics at 10+2 level. Or
Candidate should have done pass pre-university examination (two years) after 10 years of schooling of an Indian University/ Board recognized by H.P. University with 33% marks. Or
Candidate should have passed in an Intermediate examination of an Indian University/ Board or an examination recognized equivalent thereto (pass in four subjects with 33% marks) including English. Or
Candidate should have an examination of a university/Board/College or school in Foreign Country recognized as equivalent to the above purpose by the Vice Chancellor/ Equivalence Committee either of its own or on the recommendations of Association of Indian Universities with 33% marks. Or
BA./B.Sc./B.Com Part-1 old three-degree course of a recognized University/Board/College with 33% at least.

B.Com

Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Math/Economics as a compulsory subject. The aggregate marks required will be determined on the basis of one language and three other pass elective subjects.Or
Pre-University examination (two years after ten-year schooling) with Math/Economics as compulsory subject of an Indian University/Board recognized by the H.P. University.Or
Intermediate examination with Math/Economics as a compulsory subject of an Indian University/Board or an examination equivalent thereto or Indian School Certificate Examination (Class XII) with Math and Economics as compulsory subjects of the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.Or
Any examination of a University/Board College or School of a foreign country recognized as equivalent with Math/Economics as a compulsory subject for the above purpose by the Vice-Chancellor/Equivalence Committee either of its own or on the recommendation of the Association of Indian Universities.Or

B.Com Part II (Three-year degree course)

Admission to B.Com-II shall be open to a person who has passed B.Com. First Year (under+3 system of the new three-year degree course) or equivalent.

B.Com Part III (Three-year degree course)

Admission to B.Com III shall be open to a person who has passed B.Com-II examination (under +3 system of the new three-year course) or equivalent.

B.C.A Part-II (Three Year Degree Course)

Candidate should have passed at least 50% of papers of the first year to get promoted to the next year.

B.C.A Part-III (Three Year Degree Course)

Candidate must have all the papers of the first year and 50% papers of second-year should be cleared.

IC DEOL B.Ed and M.Ed Admission 2023

IC DEOL of Himachal Pradesh University offers B.d and M.Ed programs at UG as well as PG levels. Graduation in any stream is the desired eligibility criteria to take admission. Final admission to both of the courses is completey merit-based.

B.Ed.	Candidate should be a teacher possessing UG & PG degree with 55%(50% marks in case of SC/ST) with two years teaching experience in a government or government recognized school located in the territorial jurisdiction of the university and within the State of H.P	Admission shall be made on the basis of Academic Merit.
M.Ed.	Candidate should possess B.Ed. with 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST) with two years teaching/ professional experience after completion of B.Ed. programme in a government recognized school/NCTE recognized teacher	Admission to M.Ed. is strictly merit-based

Key Note: Eligibility condition shall be the same as prescribed by the NCTE/ any other competent authority from time to time.

For B.Ed admission, if the candidate is from the medical stream then following eligibilities should be followed.

B.Sc. Pass Course with Zoology, Chemistry and any other science subject OR
B.Sc. Pass course with Botany, Chemistry as a subsidiary subject OR
B.Sc. Honours in Zoology with Chemistry as a subsidiary subject OR
B.Sc. Honours in Botany with Chemistry as a subsidiary subject OR
B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry with Zoology or Botany as a subsidiary subject OR

If a candidate is from Non-Medical stream then following eligibilities should be followed as given below:

B.Sc. Pass Course with Physics, Mathematics and any other science subject.
B.Sc. Pass Course with Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject.
B.Sc. Honours in Physics with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject.
B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject.
B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry as a subsidiary subject.
If the candidate is from commerce stream then following eligibilities should be followed as given below:

B.A Pass Course with English, Hindi or Sanskrit and at least one of the following subjects which are History, Economics-Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics. OR
B.A Honours in English, Hindi or Sanskrit with any of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject: Economics, History; Political Science; Geography; Public Administration; Sociology, Mathematics or B.A. Honours in History, Economics; Political Science; Geography; Public Administration; Sociology; Mathematics or B.A. Honours in History, Economics; Political Science; Geography; Public Administration; Sociology or Mathematics with any of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subject: English, Hindi, Sanskrit.
No other stream such as B.A/B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Economics, B.Com. etc., or subject combinations will be allowed.
The candidate who fulfils the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the Handbook of Information should only apply. The original certificates/ documents/ testimonials, etc. will be checked at the time of counselling. Any information supplied by the candidate, if found at any stage, shall make them liable for cancellation of their candidature/ admission.

In order to get admission in B.Ed and M.Ed course, a candidate needs to follow the steps given below:

Candidate needs to fill the application form in his/her own handwriting properly.
Important documents should be attested along with the application form as per the guidelines.

Matriculation certificate or equivalent showing DOB.
12^THcertificate or equivalent and Character certificate from the head of the institution i.e. Headmaster/Principal where employed.
B.A/B.Sc. certificates. If the result is awaited then attach only part I & II certificates/ B.Ed certificate in case of seeking admission to M.Ed.
Copy of certificates/ detailed marks sheets of having passed the previous examination on the basis of which the candidates are seeking admission, duly attested by a gazetted officer.
Employment certificate
Copy of appointment letter.

IC DEOL Diploma & Certificate courses Admission 2023

ICDEOL HPU offers PGDM, PGDPM & LW, MMC, PGDCA, APGDIT, P.G Diploma in Human Resource department, P.G Diploma in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Annual System, P.G Diploma in Tribal Studies & P.G Diploma in Population Studies under Diploma and Certificate courses.

The selection criteria in these diploma and certificate courses are granted on Merit-basis. Basic eligibility criteria in these courses are bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in any discipline with aggregate percentage as per the subject.

IC DEOL, Himachal Pradesh University Application Process

In order to get admission in the University, a candidate needs to follow the steps given below:

Download and fill in the application form given on the college website.
Candidate needs to fill the application form in his/her own handwriting properly.
Important documents should be attested along with the application form as per the guidelines.
The application fee is of INR 300 with the cost of the handbook of information.
Candidate should be sent IPOs/Bank draft of prescribed fee as processing fee payable to the address given below:

Along with the form the attested certificates, Testimonials, Counseling card (with postage stamps of INR 6 should be affixed on the space provided.

Documents check List:

Three copies of certificate/detailed marks sheets of having passed the previous examination (attested by a gazetted officer in case of B.A Ist year and B.Com Ist year
In case of postgraduate classes, only one set of attested copies of certificates matriculation onwards is required to be submitted.

Key Notes:

All the above documents should be attached with the application form, failing which the application form will be rejected and no information of rejection will be intimated to the candidates. The selected candidate will only be intimated.
Representation regarding admission will be entertained within one month from the date of merit list declared.
