Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy was established in 2013. It has impacted education in the field of medical education and services. The college is approved by the Government of Gujarat and is a constituent institute of Uka Tarsadia University. The college offers undegraduate and postgraduate courses. The college renders services to the community and special groups of the society by incorporating various types of free social services.

Eligibility Criteria

A brief about the eligibility criteria of degree courses are mentioned below:

Admissions: Merit based as per norms of Government of Gujarat. Check

Qualification: For admission in undergraduate level, the minimum educational qualification shall be Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with PCB as relevant subject, passed with minimum 45% of aggregate and as per policy decided by "Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC)" norms.

For admission in postgraduate level, the minimum educational qualification shall be B.P.T with minimum 50% (as per UGC norms).

Appeared in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test conducted in the current academic year.

Candidate's age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Citizenship: Candidates can apply under the general category.

Foreign Nationals/Non Resident Indians/Indian Nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI category.

The college offers plenty of facilities for its students, staff and faculty members. Brief of these facilities are listed below:

Library – The campus has a well-ventilated library facility. The Library has reading rooms for students and staff members. More than 1441 books are available in the library national and 10 international journals are subscribed annually.

Computer Lab – The computer labs are well maintained with ample space and seating arrangements. The students get access to internet connectivity, which helps them in their various research activities. 

Classroom Facilities – The college has spacious and air-conditioned classrooms, which are well equipped with modern facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead projects. Seatings are designed to provide complete comfort to students for the intense hours of classroom teaching and interaction.

Meditation Hall – The college has space for medication, reflection, and prayer. The purpose of this facility is to provide accommodation of individual spiritual needs. The vision of the college is the utilization of the meditation room will allow students and employees to explore a time and place of peace while learning and working.

SRCP Clinic – The institute also runs Physiotherapy Outpatient departments for the patients who seek physiotherapy treatment. There are 3 OPD that are running by this institute. With different conditions of patients including Osteoarthritis, back pain, paralysis, cerebral palsy and many more treatments are given by a physiotherapist. All patients are evaluated thoroughly and treatment plan is given by the skilled therapist in the institute. All the treatments given to the patient is free of cost.

Internet and WiFi – The campus has free internet of 155 Mbps of high-speed bandwidth Wi-Fi connectivity available at 24/7 to all staff and students.

Canteen – The institute has specific cafeterias within the premises. The food and snacks served in the cafeterias are freshly made. A proper check is made on the hygiene and cleanliness of the cafeterias. The health of the students is very important for the management and hence all the measures are taken to ensure the same. The mess remains open till odd hours.

Hostel – There are separate accommodations for boys and girls, which varies from single occupancy to three in a room. The entire hostel complexes are ensured with 24 hour security, maintenance, engineering, power supply. The hostel provides a cot, mattress, study table, chair, cupboard for each student. Every hostel has solar heated water facility, water cooler, common telephone, common TV room, common reading room, dining facility, gymnasium and indoor games facility.

Transportation – The institute provides transport services. The buses are available to students and faculty members for commuting. The college has maintained number of buses for students. The bus is spacious and comfortable to travel.
