Institute of Aeronautics and Engineering Bhopal is a technical institute established in 1994 approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation and is administered by the managing body of Sha-Shib Group of Institutions. The institute offers full time Aircraft Maintaince Engineering in two specializations. In addition to this, Institute of Aeronautics and Engineering also provides Dual Degree Program in AME+B.Tech, AME+BBA and AME+B.Sc. Admission criteria for AME and Dual Degree Program is the same.

Students of Mechanical Stream who successfully clears all the Basic Knowledge Module Examination conducted by CEO, DGCA and completes all the maintenance experience requirements stipulated by DGCA in Civil Aviation Requirement-66 gets the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence in Category B1.
