Symbiosis Centre for Health Care (SCHC) was established in 1997. The college has been re-accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC. SCHC offers distance learning in Certificate, Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma Programs. The institute provide online and postal mode of study with printed study modules and e-learning CDs.

SCHC Distance Education Programs

Distance Education allows learners/participants/students to learn at their own place and pace. The student need not attend classroom lectures. Students can contact faculty through phone, email and online chatting to solve their queries. Students may have to attend a limited period contract programs. SCHC Admission Process

A brief about the admission process of SCHC is listed below:

  • Candidates can register themselves online/offline.
  • Candidates are required to pay registration fees to acquire college prospectus and application form. Payment can be done online/offline.
  • Candidates can select two programs and complete them in one year.
  • Candidates are required to fill the application form and attach requisite certificates and photos.
  • Candidates can pay online by Credit/Debit Card/NEFT or offline by DD. 
  • Candidates can submit DD by courier to head office or at the information centre of the college.

Note: Candidates registering for both online and postal mode of study will have to pay an additional cost of INR 2000 for each program.

  • The motive of PGDHHM is to equip graduates for administrative, managerial and consultative in the hospital and healthcare organizations.
  • The main motive of PGDMLS program is to enable doctors, lawyera, nurses and all other professionals, to understand the prevalent concepts, with a view to prevent and manage medico legal problems.
  • Students can build their career in PGDAND in health sectors as Therapeutic Dietitian, Clinical Nutritionists, Diet Counsellor. Those who are involved in such work are called Administrative/Management Dietitian/Nutritionists.
  • PGDMT aims to provide about the essentials of medical tourism, industry trends. Immense opportunities are available for students, they can work as medical tourism manager, tour facilitator, medical tour consultant, guest relationship managers, medical toursim insurer and many more.

For PGDCR and PGDPVCDM:

  1. Bachelors in Life Sciences/Medical Sciences/Statistics.
  2. Career Prospects
  •  To develop professionals to work in the field of clinical research. After PGDCR, a student can make his/her career in pharma, companies/hospitals/clinical research organizations and data management companies.
  • PGDPVCDM program aims to train professionals in pharmacovigilance and clinical data management. Students can work as Research Coordinator, Research Associate, Drug Safety Associate, Senior Pharmacovigilance Consultants, Principal Investigator and many more.

For DNA:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing/GSM.

  • SYMB-ians Video Lectures & Audio/Video Presentations: E-portfolio includes video lectures on diverse topics covered during National Seminars. It covers emerging trends in healthcare sector. Audio/Video Presentations on critical and fundamental topics covered in the programs. It focuses mainly on emerging trends, guidelines, latest regulatory advances in the arena.

  • Annual Health Checkup

Annual Health Checkup of the students of Symbiosis is conducted and maintained electrically on web based, HIPAA compliant software Specialists from different disciplines conduct the Annual Health Check-up including Lab investigation.

  • Pre-employment Checkup

Candidates are required to complete the process of Pre-employment Checkup at SCHC. It includes a checkup by Specialists from different disciplines.

  • Out Patient Department (OPD)

SCHC offers Out Patient Department in all the campuses of Symbiosis.

  • Medical Insurance for Students & Staff

Every student and staff of Symbiosis is covered under a unique group medical insurance scheme with the National Insurance Company (NIC) for hospitalization upto Rs. 50,000/- in case of non-accidental emergencies and Rs. 1,00,000/- in case of Rail/Road traffic accidents.

  • Dental OPD services

SCHC offers Dental OPD consisting of procedures such as scaling & polishing, tooth fillings, caps & bridges & root canal treatment.

  • National Seminars: Every year a two-day National Seminar is organized on Hospital & Healthcare Management, Medico Legal Systems & Clinical Research is hosted at Symbiosis University. National Seminar is accredited by Maharashtra Medical Council. This annual mega event with a legacy of 17 years attracts over 1200 delegates from healthcare, such as doctors, medico legal experts, insurance & IT professionals, NGOs, hospital administrators & clinical research professionals from all over India and abroad.
