Ques. Are there joint placements for UIET Chandigarh and UIET Hoshiarpur?
● Top Answer By Kaustav Sen on 09 Jul 21
Ans.Some of my friends attended UIET Chandigarh and UIET Hoshirpur, so I have some information regarding the placement at these institutes.
As both the colleges UIET Chandigarh and UIET Hoshiarpur are part of Punjab university, the students visit the Punjab University for placements. Companies do visits there. Sometimes students of UIET Hoshiarpur have to visit UIET Chandigarh for placements. The students of both colleges are given different slots.
But both the colleges have their own placement cells. The placement depends on these placement cells. The companies like Infosys and Sufi visit both colleges. In such cases, the placements take place on the same date and at the same time.
Hope this clears your doubts.Read more
Ques. Which will be a better choice, CSE at UIET Hoshiarpur or EEE at UIET Chandigarh?
● Top Answer By Aniket Patronobish on 31 May 21
Ans.The choice between CSE and EEE is subjective and totally depends on you. Keep aside your confusion about these colleges and give a thought to what you want to pursue by outlining the major factors that drive your interest the most.
You should rather explore the curriculum, campus, placements, packages offered, faculty, etc. of both the colleges in that particular field.
Both UIET Hoshiarpur and UIET Chandigarh provide a degree from Punjab University. I guess the highlighted difference you would find are the cities in which they are located and the campus life. Here’s a brief insight into the courses.
CSE at UIET Hoshiarpur
EEE at UIET Chandigarh
The question here arises whether or not you want to pursue higher studies after going for EEE. EEE in UIET would not provide you with good placements. Go for CSE at Hoshiarpur if you have no other options.
You can consider other options too if you have them.Read more
Ques. Which is better, CSE at Chandigarh University or IT at UIET, Hoshiarpur?
● Top Answer By Ankit Chaudhary on 05 Jan 21
Ans.For CSE, Chandigarh University will be the better option. After taking admission to a university or college every student expects technical education and grooming that will help him/her secure a good job. The faculty of Chandigarh University works hard to deliver the same.
The table below will give an overview of the CSE program at Chandigarh University and IT at UIET.
Chandigarh University (CSE)
Advantages - Chandigarh University:
CU organizes special training by experts to make the students ready for placements.
CU conducts a winning camp for the third year students of BE CSE. Students get to learn about different topics related to CSE.
Last year 250+ companies visited the campus and a total of 2000 offers were made in the first 2 months alone. Microsoft offered the highest package of 31.7 LPA.
Overall comparing the academics, CSE in CU is better than IT in UIET because of experience and overall quality of education. The training and placement department of CU is also superior.Read more
