FAD International Academy is an autonomous private institution registered in India under Pune Academy of Design and Communication Pvt. Ltd. The institute delivers an industry focused international curriculum. The institute is accredited by EDEXCEL, UK; Association of Business Executives (ABE), UK; London College of Style, UK; IED, Italy; Goldsmiths University of London, UK; Nottingham Trent University, UK; and the European School of Economics. The parent company of FAD International, Pune was established in 1976 as the first design studio in western India.

For International and outstation students, it is not mandatory to be present physically on campus for interviews and the application process and can be done online.
All submissions and copies of relevant documents must be sent through e-mail only to fad@fadacademy.com.
Foreign students seeking admission and visa assistance from the institute need to be first be accepted and enrolled onto a course at FAD International.
Students must meet the minimum age requirement of 18-year (16-years of age with parental consent).
Essay writing may be required for selection to certain courses and is not a compulsory selection criterion for all programs.

FAD International UG Admission 2023

FAD International hosts a plethora of undergraduate and postgraduate level certificate, diploma and degree programs for students. The courses offered by the institute are industry oriented programs on Art and Design, Fashion Design, and Styling, Transport Design, Fashion Marketing, Film and Video, Fine Art, Photography and more. Aspirants with a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent are eligible to pursue their desired UG course. Postgraduate candidates must fulfill the minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any stream. The institute mainly selects candidates based on their performance in the written interview and essay writing. However, for certain courses, an additional personal interview session (via phone/ Skype) is organized.

Key Points for Admission:

Candidates with intermediate level education from an international institute such as IB, ED EXCEL, GCSE or any other international board are eligible for admission to 3-year program.
Candidates pursuing the 3-year program can complete their third year from any of the specified foreign universities and complete their BA (Honors) degree in Fashion.
Candidates with professional work experience are also eligible to apply for the PG programs.
Candidates are also required to write short notes on the following topics as an integral part of the initial application process:

“Creativity has been described in many words. What meaning does it have to you?”
“What is the career you are eventually looking at?”
“Have you done anything in the past that speaks of your inclination towards this course? If Yes, please give a brief description of the same?”

FAD International Application Process 2023

Candidates seeking admission to the various courses offered by the FAD International are required to go through the following steps for application and selection, as detailed below:

Level One: Submission of Application Form

Candidates may choose between online and offline mode for filling and submission of application form as desired.
For online applications, the applicant may use the “Apply Now” tab on the institute website.
Offline applicants may collect the form from the FAD International campus, or request a copy of the same via. post.

Level Two: Submission of Written Questionnaire

The application form submitted online or posted to the institute campus goes through an internal review following which students are emailed a list of supporting documents including an entrance questionnaire.
The Entrance questionnaire must be filled by the student either online or on campus.
Outstation students are allowed two days from the date of receiving the same to submit the questionnaire.
Entries must be emailed to the admissions department on fad@fadacademy.com.

Level Three: Academic Review and Personal Interview

Applications with completed entrance questionnaires will then be reviewed by the relevant academic department for further evaluation.
For certain courses, candidate may need to write an essay on a given topic, in which case the topic will be shared via email.
Candidates who have been assigned essay topics must complete and submit the same within 2 working days via email or hard copy submitted at the institute campus.
Shortlisted candidates will have to go through a personal interview session for further evaluation.

Level Four: A Decision on the Admission

Candidates selected for admission will be given a Conditional Offer Letter at the initial phase.
Conditions outline regarding any further pending document or other requirements must be met by the student within the stipulated dates.

Key Points for Admission:

Students fulfilling all conditions will then be enrolled in the course and handed out an Un-Conditional Admission Letter confirming the place and course.
