Goa College of Art was established in the year 1972 and is located in the city of Panaji, Goa. Goa College of Art offers Bachelor of Fine Arts in two specializations i.e. in Applied Arts and Painting. Both the courses are of four years duration. The intake for BFA (Applied Art) is 30 seats and intake for BFA (Painting) is 20 seats.

  • Candidates who have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board of education are eligible to apply for BFA.
  • Candidates must also have obtained minimum 45% marks in the qualifying board examination at the 10+2 level to be eligible for admission.
  • Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. Such candidates must have obtained minimum 40% marks in the 10+2 examination.
  • In addition to the above requirements, candidates are also required to have taken up English as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level to be eligible.
  • Eligible candidates will be required to take up an Aptitude test conducted by the university to be considered for admission.
  • Seats to the BFA course will be allotted based on candidates’ performance in the 10+2 qualifying examination and the aptitude test, with 50% weightage given to each of them.

Goa College of Art BFA Admissions 2023

Goa College of Art offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts course at the under graduate level, under two specializations – Applied Arts and Painting.

Applications for the BFA course are accepted from candidates who have completed their 10+2 from the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education / CBSE / ICSE / other equivalent board of education with minimum 45% aggregate and English as a compulsory subject.

Admission to the BFA course is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the 10+2 examination and Aptitude Test, conducted by the university. 50% weightage is given to both the aforementioned parameters while granting admission to the BFA course.

Goa College of Art Application Process 2023

Duly filled in application forms can be obtained online or in person at the college campus. Completed applications must be submitted at the college office on or before the stipulated date.

  • The application form can be downloaded from the official college website or obtained in person at the college office.
  • Duly filled-in application forms, along with the necessary documents attached, should be handed in person at the college office before the last date.
  • Along with the completed applications, a required fee of INR 800 should also be submitted in cash.

Along with the application and fee, candidate should also submit the following list of documents as mentioned below:

  1. Two recent identical passport size photographs (taken not earlier than 3 months from the date of application)
  2. Statement of marks of H.S.S.C. (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination.
  3. Birth Certificate from a Competent Authority.
  4. Certificate of Residence from the Mamlatdar, indicating period of continuous residence (minimum last 10 years) of the applicant in Goa, preceding the month of application.
  5. A Leaving/Transfer Certificate from the School or College attended last, signed by the Headmaster/Principal of the Institute (if applicable).
  6. An applicant claiming a seat under any of the reserved categories must produce the corresponding certificate issued by a competent authority.

Reservation Criteria
