CIAE Bhopal Ph.D. Admission 2023

The college offers Ph.D. program in Agricultural Engineering under two specializations.

Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree in 10+2+4 OR 10+2+3 OR 10+1+4 system and M.Tech. /M.E. in Agricultural Engineering / Farm Power and Equipment / Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering / Water Resource Engineering / Agricultural Processing and Structures / Dairy Engineering / Water Science and Technology or M.Sc. in Dairy Engineering are eligible for admission to the Ph.D course.

In Master's degree, a General/OBC candidate must have obtained at least 60% marks OR an overall grade point average (OGPA) of 7.00 out of 10.00 and an SC/ST/PC candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks.

Applicants have to appear for an entrance exam consisting of one paper of three parts: Part-I (General Agriculture) and Part-II & III (Subject Paper). The questions will be of multiple choice and matching types in part I & II (30 marks and 150 marks, respectively) and short analytical type in part III (30 marks).

Candidates obtaining minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/PC candidates) marks in the entrance exam will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:4.

For admission to Ph.D. courses, 10% weight age is given to the candidate’s academic performance from SSC to the Master’s degree, 80% weight age is assigned to the Entrance score and rest 10% weight age is given to the interview performance.

Key Points:

Relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserved category candidates.
The minimum age for admission shall be 21 years as on July 31.
Under Faculty Up gradation Scheme (FUS), not more than three candidates sponsored by any university shall be admitted.
The candidates sponsored under this scheme should be regular employees of the university and should be likely to continue in service after obtaining the training.

CIAE Bhopal Application Process 2023

Application forms for the Ph.D. course are filled online only. The application process for the Ph.D. program at CIAE, Bhopal is carried out by IARI, New Delhi.

Following are the instructions to fill the online application form:

Go to official website of IARI.
Click on "Register Here" button on the right side of the homepage.
Fill up the required details and click on “Register” button.
After successful registration, click on “Login” button and enter your email ID and password.
After successful login, a page will open with multiple text & drop-down fields.
Select your admission scheme from the "Scheme" drop-down. Fill-up all the other details as required and also fill the contact details as well.
Click "Save and Next" button.
In the new page fill education details, after filling all the required details, click on “Save and Next”.
Now upload the photograph (File size less than 100 kb and greater than 10 kb) and signature (size less than 20 kb and greater than 10 kb).
Click on “Next” button, to enter the payment page, enter the Demand Draft Number details for the registration of Ph.D. Entrance Examination 2021- 22.
Application fee for Ph.D. Entrance Examination is INR 1000 for Gen/OBC category and INR 500 for SC/ST/PC category.
After filling all the necessary details, click on “Save and Next” button click the checkbox to complete the Final Submit.
After successful submission, the candidate should take a printout of the online submitted Application Form and send the hard copy of it to Registrar, PG School, IARI, New Delhi-12 along with self-attested copies of the required documents.

Self-attested copies of the documents to be enclosed with application form:

Matriculation Passing Certificate for proof of the date of birth.
Master’s Degree Certificate and Marks sheet.
Other Backward Class, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged Certificate (whichever is applicable).
Demand Draft in favour of Director, IARI, payable at New Delhi.
