Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy started in 1987 falls under the Ministry of Environment and Forests. It is situated in the New Forest Campus of Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and operates as a college for Indian Forest Service IFS officers.

Ans. The students are provided with many facilities within the campus. There is a huge playground for the students. There is a hostel, library, computer labs, seminar halls and gym. The hostels are fully Wi-Fi enabled. The college also organizes transportation facilities within the city and the students and the academy also organize general medical checkups for the students. The hostels are available for both boys and girls costing around INR 6000- 7000.

Ans. The college organizes various events to unleash the talents of the students. Activities like trekking, nature walk, photography, rangoli competitions, and nature quizzes are held from time to time. ‘Bird watching sessions’ are also organized for the interested students.
