B.C.M. College Kottayam was established in 1955 is a Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial College for Women. The campus is situated at Amalagiri a suburban city, 10 Kms away from Kottayam. It is an educational institution owned and run by the Knanaya Catholic Archdiocese of Kottayam. As a vibrant college full of young and beautiful women, this college is bursting to the seams with life and joy. It strives to mould intellectually well trained, morally upright, socially committed, spiritually inspired womens for the India of today. Extra Curricular Activities

NSS - The NSS unit in the college was selected as one among the best seven NSS units of MG University in the year 2008-09. Ms. Teena Susan Thomas was selected as the best NSS volunteer secretary in MG university in the year 2009-10.

NCC - During the academic year 2013-14 on wards an NCC unit is functioning in the College under the Girls Battalion.

BCM OJASS - BCM OJASS (Outreach Joint Action to Strength Society) was started in the year 2009, here are some of its activities initiated-

  • Education Revolving Finance Scheme for providing educational support to economically weak students

  • Education and Personality development programme for the children in tribal settlement

  • Implemented UNICEF`s Pilot project `for the protection

  • of children with special focus aganist child abuse` in Vijayapuram Panchayat.
