National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. NIANP Ph.D. Admission 2023

National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology conducts research programs in life science fields. As a part of the program, it offers Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. The admission process for the program is governed by Jain University, Bangalore.

The candidate who holds Master’s Degree/ M. Phil in the relevant subject with minimum 55% of marks (50% for SC/ST) in each subject and also an aggregate is eligible for applying. To apply for NIANP, the candidate should possess a fellowship from any of the organizations which include CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / DST Inspire/DBT women fellowship or other equivalents within or outside the country.

The applicant should qualify the pre-Ph.D. Entrance Examination conducted by the University. The selected candidates will be subjected to a Personal Interview with their parents before final selection.

On selection, the candidate has to register under the Jain University and complete a two-semester pre-PhD coursework before starting the Ph.D. course in the Institute. The final registration of candidates into the Ph.D. program will be based on, the successful completion of the pre-PhD program, the recommendation of the evaluation committee, and approval of the Ph.D. registration committee.

NIANP Application Process 2023

The application form for the Ph.D. course is available at the official website for download and also can be obtained from the University office. Candidate has to submit the duly filled form with required documents to the university office.

A copy of the form has to be sent to the National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP), to the below mentioned address.

Instructions for Filling the Application Form:

  • The form has to be filled in the applicant’s own handwriting.
  • Use only BLACK/BLUE Hi-Tech pen for filling the application form.
  • While, filling provisionally, indicate “Results are awaited” in columns where the final marks are unknown or not available.
  • Applicant must include the certified copies of qualifying examinations and other documents.
  • The application should a recent passport size photograph in the column needed.
  • The photograph should not be older than 3 months. And, it has to be pasted, not pinned
  • Overwriting, or erasing in the application form may lead to rejection of the application. It has to be avoided.
  • Candidate has to submit all the needed documents along with the application form.
