Veterinary College Bangalore Admissions 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility

Veterinary College is located in Hebbal, Bangalore and established in 1958. It is affiliated to Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar (KVAFSU). 

The admissions are offered in B.V.Sc & AH, M.V.Sc and Ph.D programs at Veterinary College. There are 17 and 10 specialisations in the post graduate and doctoral programmes respectively. 

Admissions to the post graduate and doctoral programmes are based on written tests conducted by KVAFSU and on the basis of merit or previous qualifying examination.

Admission to the undergraduate course is based on NEET. The seat allocation is through VCI counselling. 

Applications for all courses are accepted online through the college website. But applications for counselling are accepted through VCI Counselling for undergraduate programs.

The weightage of marks that is used to select the students depends on various factors.

  • The aggregate in their Bachelor’s holds a weightage of 50.0.
  • The written test carries a weightage of 40.0.
  • Due weightage is also given to those students who have:
    • Medals in academics, sports and cultural activities (3.0), 
    • Passed ICAR/JRF examinations (3.0), 
    • Research publications (2.0) 
    • Students who are Physically handicapped / Anglo-Indians / Scouts & Guides / Children of Ex-Servicemen / Defense personnel (2.0).
