Admission :

To get admission in this college, first I took the CAT entrance exam and fill out the form online. After that, I took the MICAT test again, cleared the test and attended the group discussion followed by the personal interview.

Placement Experience :

There is a 100% placement in our college. Around 100% of the batch is being placed. Placement cell is available in our college to train and guide the graduating students. I was placed in IBM. And the average salary package offered was around 12 Lakhs.

Remarks :

The course sounded fun and enriching but light enough to leave scope for a personalised approach; the campus seemed super fun to live at; the people I met during the interviews seemed so talented, I was craving company like that to learn from; I wanted an experience that wasn’t based on strict discipline or a rigid structure, and MICA is chill AF.

Ques. Which is better, IIM Indore or MICA?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 23 Aug 21

Ans. Both IIM Indore and MICA are very popular and reputed business management schools but choosing an institute among these two completely depends on your interests. If you are interested in marketing, then you should probably join MICA because it specializes in marketing communications. The faculty members are very talented and experienced in their fields. The placements at MICA are also amazing. Top companies visited the campus and the average package offered was around 11.3 LPA.  But if you are unsure about your interest and you want to try and explore Finance, HR, Analytics then you should go for IIM Indore. It will offer you the 'IIM tag’. The placements are amazing and a lot of companies visit the campus and you will find great exposure here too. Read more

Ques. Is there any successful entrepreneur or filmmaker from MICA Ahmedabad?

● Top Answer By Sandip Pal on 06 Jul 21

Ans. From MICA, a number of alumni have pursued careers in the arts or entrepreneurship. Here listing some I am aware of. Spandan Mishra - After graduating from MICA and entering the world of advertising, he pursued scriptwriting and dabbled in theatre on the side, eventually landing a job as one of Kapoor and Sons' writers. Siddharth Mishra - Known as RJ Siddharth on Big FM, Siddharth Mishra is now venturing out into the visual medium (Rangbaaz on Zee5) Tanvi Malik - She is the co-founder of FabAlley, an online fashion store for Indian women. Shraddha Sharma - Founder of YourStory. Stories about startups, entrepreneurship, women, social, SMBs, business, marketing, and research, is another well-known MICA entrepreneur. Moreover, many MICANs have founded and are leading successful communications businesses in their areas of expertise. For example, TING, Culture Opus, and so on.Read more

Ques. MICA vs XIMB? Which one is better in terms of placement and ROI?

● Top Answer By Sandip Pal on 14 Jun 21

Ans. In terms of placement, I would like you to know that XIMB is far better than MICA. The average package that XIMB offers is around 15.42 LPA. This is according to the latest 2021 stats. MICA on the other hand offers an average package of around 12.8 LPA. The highest package that MICA has offered went up to 58.2 LPA. If you look at the course, both the institutes- MICA and XIMB offer different specializations which they are popular for. If you feel Brand Marketing & Advertising is your forte, MICA is the right place for you to be. It can provide you the best insight on that front. But if you feel that you are someone who is made for handling the Business Management front and possesses a knack for it, XIMB will help you provide what you are looking for. XIMB is also popular for its HR specialization. The packages offered here are the same as the general Business Management Course. The current batch size for the HR Business Management Course is 120 students. So, feel free to check that out and decide what suits you.Read more

Ques. I am interested in strategic marketing from MICA Ahmedabad and strategic design management from NID. Which is better as both respect creativity?

● Top Answer By Shivam Bhola on 10 Jun 21

Ans. Instead of looking at a NID or MICA, you must look for a more convenient B school. Strategic marketing as a core function is offered after about 10 years of work in this field. Even though everyone might think that you've been prepared for "strategy" in 2 years in school. A colleague of mine had an incident in an interview where he refused somebody who after 3 years of employment did not want to perform, as he was in strategy. It's not devaluation, but realistic. The program of NID is described on the website as the SDM program. It does not intend to manage designers/design projects, to be an MBA program in Design, and to be a branch/program of MBA. MICA's strategic marketing is a type of MBA program with disciplines related to management, marketing, and marketing strategy in the curriculum. You will study how to apply creativity during business challenges and sell a product, and how to employ creativity in various areas at MICA. The main purpose of the MICA program is to train business managers for the creative industry. During the NID program, innovative design professionals are to be produced.Read more

Ques. How is XIMB, MICA, JBIMS and SIMSEE Mumbai for MBA?

● Top Answer By Rupali Samal on 16 Apr 21

Ans. Here is a brief discussion about the institutes mentioned in the question, which may help you in choosing one of these for your MBA. XIMB: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar (XIMB) offers PG and Ph.D. courses under the discipline of Business Management, Executive Business Management, Business Analytics, and Management Studies.  Nonetheless, what you should know is that the cut-off in the institute has fairly increased alongside the average CTC. It is considered to be a very good option likewise.  The cut-off round 1 for candidates willing to go for MBA Business Management is 93, for general candidates. JBIMS: Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), on the other hand, is among the top B-schools in the country without any further hesitancy. As also stated by various students and candidates, it is at par with the IIMs. SIMSREE: SIMSREE actually is not in the list where students are choosing it as an active institution to go for. MICA: MICA, on the contrary, is known to be a brilliant option to opt for if you are wishing to pursue marketing.  Here’s a brief overview of the institutes. Parameters XIMB JBIMS SIMSREE MICA Average CTC 15.42 LPA 18.91 LPA 12.20 LPA 13.9 LPA Highest CTC 26 LPA 33 LPA 20 LPA 50 LPA Course fee 19.5 lakhs 6 lakhs 1.34 LAKHS 21 lakhs Thus to say, it clearly depends upon the students who are choosing forth.Read more
