Amrita School of Dentistry was established in 2003 under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Amrita Kochi campus comprises of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), the School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy & School of Allied Health Sciences and Centre for Nanosciences. Amrita School of Dentistry started offering BDS since 2003 which was inaugurated by the then Health Minister, Smt. Sushma Swaraj. The school offers BDS, MDS, and Diploma in Dental Mechanics with rigorous training programs.

Amrita School of Dentistry Courses and Admission

BDS Admission

To get admission to the BDS program, the candidate is required to meet the given eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum required marks from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have obtained 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from any State Higher Secondary Board or its equivalent.
  • Final selection will be based on the rank secured in the common entrance test held at the national level.

MDS Admission

The school offers MDS program in nine specialties. In order to get admission to the MDS program, the candidate is required to meet the given eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate is required to hold the BDS degree from a recognized Dental college.
  • Final selection will be based on the rank obtained in the common entrance test held at the national level.

Diploma in Dental Mechanics Admission

In order to get admission to the Diploma, the candidate is required to:

  • Score minimum required marks in 10+2 with English and Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any State Higher Secondary Board or its equivalent.
  • Final selection will be based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and a personal interview.
