GITAM Dental College was established in the year 2001, is a departmental college of GITAM University, Vishakhapatnam which is state private university. GITAM Dental College Admission
Admission into dental college is done through the admission portal of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. The admission process is done through online mode of application. Below mentioned is the step-wise process to submit an application form for the determination of merit position:
Step 1: Go to the website http://apmedadm.ntruhs.ap.gov.in/.
Step 2: Click on ‘Online Registration’ and provide all the necessary details required.
Step 3: After entering the details, click on ‘Validate’ button. If all the details entered are correct, you will recieve a registration number which can be used for further references.
Step 4: Enter the registration number for updating other details and click on ‘Validate’ button.
Step 5: A new window will appear which will take the candidate to the application form. You will be required to fill all the details like personal details, academic records, photographs, documents and more.
Step 6: After filling the form, click on ‘Save and Exit Button’. This process can be repeated if the details entered are wrong.
Step 7: Click on ‘Save and Pay Button’ to proceed for payment. Depending on your caste categorym the registration fee will vary.
Step 8: You will be further directed to the payment page to complete the process. Select your mode of payment and complete the process.
Step 9: After completion of payment, you can download the filled application process and take the prinout of the form.

- Admit card and rank card of NEET-2020.
- SSC or equivalent examination showing Date of Birth
- Memorandum of marks of qualifying examination in Intermediate examinations.

Application and Counseling Fee: Candidates belonging to OC/BC categories are required to pay INR 3540 (exclusive of any other charges) and INR 2950 for SC/ST categories.

UG Courses
Course 1: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
GITAM Dental College offers BDS course with a one-year rotating internship. Admissions to the course will be on the basis of their scores in NEET UG entrance exam conducted by CBSE. In BDS, 40 seats are reserved under Management Quota and 10 seats will be allotted through AP EAMCET ranks by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Intermediate graduate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/ Biotechnology and English.
- OC candidates must have secured more than 50% and BC/SC/ST candidates must have obtained more than 40% marks in Science.
- OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
- Candidates who have secured the cutoff marks and more in NEET UG 2020 are eligible to take admission in the course.
Also, the candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India Card Holder. S/he must also satisfy the local or non-local status in Andhra Pradesh.

Course 2: Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)
GITAM Dental College offers three-year MDS in eight disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria: bachelor’s degree holder in Dental Surgery. Candidates must also have a valid score in NEET PG 2020. Qualified candidates will have to appear for NEET PG national counseling.
