Inderprastha Dental College and Hospital was set-up with an aim to provide quality education in the field of dentistry and dental science in the country. It is located in Ghaziabad town of Uttar Pradesh and was established in 2006. The courses are recognized by the Dental Council of India and the college is affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Inderprastha Dental College and Hospital offers a five-year Bachelors program in Dental Surgery (BDS) and a two-year Master’s program in Dental Surgery (MDS) in various specializations.

  • Candidates applying to the BDS course must obtain at least 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category) in 10+2 board examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must pass 10+2 before 1st October of the year of admission.
  • NRI, PIO and Foreign nationals must obtain 50% marks or ‘C’ grade in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% or ‘C’ grade in English in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates who have studied in institutions following the American High School System must take up Physics, Chemistry and Biology as Advanced Placement (AP) subjects in order to be eligible.
  • Alternatively, candidates pursuing graduation in Science can also apply for BDS program.
  • Candidates must appear for the NEET UG exam conducted by CBSE to qualify for admission to BDS program.
  • MDS applicants must successfully complete BDS degree from a recognized Indian university in order to be eligible for admission.
  • Candidates must also register themselves with the respective State Dental Council for eligibility in MDS program.
  • Foreign nationals/ NRIs/ PIOs must complete graduation from an international or Indian dental school recognized by the Dental Council of India.
  • Admission to the MDS course is entrance -based and candidates must appear for NEET PG exam conducted by the NBE in order to be eligible.
  • Candidates applying for the MDS course can apply for NEET PG exam by registering themselves on official website of NBE.
  • The NBE releases an All India merit list which is shared with the Directorate General of Health Services and respective State Medical Directorate/universities.
  • The Directorate General of Health Service conducts counselling for 15% All-India seats, while the state Directorate/universities conduct counselling for state quota seats and state government aided and private dental colleges.

Inderprastha Dental College BDS Admission 2023

IP Dental College offers an undergraduate program in Dental Surgery (BDS) which is of five-year duration. Candidates need to secure at least 50% marks (aggregate) in their 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects. Candidates must obtain pass marks in the subjects individually as well. Reserved category candidates need to score at least 40% in 10+2 examinations with the above mentioned as compulsory subjects. Admission to the BDS course take place on the basis of NEET UG scores. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria must appear for NEET UG exam by first registering on the CBSE NEET UG website (yet to be released).

The application forms must be filled online and candidates must pay INR 1400 (INR 750 for reserved category candidates) as examination fee. The admit card must be downloaded and printed from the CBSE NEET UG website and carried on the exam date specified on the website.

CBSE prepares an All-India merit/rank list and shares it with the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India for counselling of 15% All India seats.

The college admits students from every part of the country and candidates who qualify for the 15% All-India quota seats are granted admission at IP Dental College based on their merit list rank, college preference and seat availability. IP Dental College also admits NRIs, PIOs and Foreign nationals.
