Cosmopolitan Technology of Maritime (CTM) is a private maritime training (merchant navy) institute running under Charitable Educational Trust. It was established in 2003 and is located in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu.

Cosmopolitan Technology of Maritime Diploma, General Purpose Program & Certificate Courses Admission 2023

Cosmopolitan Technology of Maritime offers a 1-year Diploma course in Nautical Science along with two other 6-months-long programs viz. General Purpose Rating (Deck & Engine) and Certificate in Maritime Catering.

The minimum eligibility for admission to Diploma and Certificate courses is a pass in 10+2 from a recognized board. Diploma candidates must fulfil the additional requirement of completing their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam. For the General Purpose Rating program must pass the 10th standard with at least 40% marks.

Admission to the Selection of candidates for all the three courses is done on the basis of qualifying exam marks.

Key Points:

  • B.Sc. (P/C/M) degree holders with minimum 55% marks and AICTE approved B.E. / B. Tech degree holders are eligible to pursue Diploma in Nautical Science course.
  • Candidates applying for General Purpose Rating program are required to have studied Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. Also, securing a minimum of 40% marks in English language is required for admission to the course.
  • Candidates with a 2-year ITI certification from a Government approved institute with a minimum of 50 percentile marks in the final year exam are eligible for admission to the General Purpose Rating program.
  • Diploma (min. 2 years) or Degree holders in Hotel Management & Catering from a recognized University with 50% aggregate marks are also eligible to apply for the Certificate program.
