Al-Ameen College of law established in 1991, is a prestigious law college in Bangalore. More than 716 students are pursuing their law degree from Al-Ameen College presently and ten thousands of students have graduated from the College since establishment. 

The College offers a 3 year L.L.B Course and 5 year B.A.+ L.L.B Course for the past 29 years. AL-Ameen College of law Admission

For L.L.B:

  • Candidates having a graduate degree from any University are eligible for a 3 year L.L.B course.
  • Candidates with a 10+2+3 qualification with aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST) are eligible for the course.
  • Graduates with a correspondence degree can also apply.
  • Graduates having a single sitting bachelor degree cannot apply for L.L.B. course.
  • All these rules are made by Bar Council of India (regulating authority of the legal practices in India).

For BA+L.L.B:

  • It is a 5 year degree course starting after 12th.
  • Candidates qualifying 12th standard from any school recognized by state or central authorities can take admission.
  • Must have an aggregate of 45% in 12th (40% for SC/ST).

Al-Ameen College of Law Placements

The College claims to send students for internships in reputed law firms. This year almost 44 students got the chance to do an internship in the High court of Karnataka. The students get to do internships with:

  • Supreme court of India.
  • High courts of Karnataka, Chennai and Kerala.
  • Law firms in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
  • Lower Courts.
  • Mediation Courts

The college offered internship opportunities to the students after every semester. Monthly stipend is provided, where last year more than 40% of the students got placements. The salary is also satisfactory. Most of the students get jobs in campus placements and few of them get jobs off campus. Students got jobs at companies like TCS, cognizant. Some of the students are doing their own practice in court.

Al-Ameen Collegeof Law Facilities

  •  Library: The College has a well-furnished library providing 11000 books with cases from 1952 to till date. There are computers with Internet facility in the library too helping students find more information on a particular case then and there.
  • Seminar hall: A big seminar hall where the debates and all the competitions of the College take place.
  • Computer labs: Separate computer labs where students can go in free time or after College to study more.
  • Moot Court: A Court room type place where students can arrange mock hearings and get real time exposure of how the hearings work. Students gaining the confidence participate in national level moot court competitions. The College itself organises National level moot court competitions. It helps them boost confidence as they have already experienced the vibes of the place like a courtroom. It won’t feel new and different to them.
  • Online Attendance System: The parents get the SMS if their child has attended College or not on a daily basis. This is the first College in Karnataka where the online attendance system has started.
  • Hostel: As the College is Co-ed, separate hostels for girls and boys are constructed in the campus.
  • Camps and extra-curricular activities: The College arranges legal camps, literacy camps, medical-camps for students to make them realise the importance of social servicing and the nature of ‘giving’. Activities like workshops, interactive sessions with high-court judges help them to recognise the realities of the Indian Courts much better which leads them to become more prominent lawyers in their fields in future.

Al-Ameen College of Law Faculty

The College has 11 lecturers and 6 visiting faculty members. All the faculty of the College is well qualified having post graduate degrees and years of experience in teaching. They are masters of their subjects. Students appreciate their teaching by saying there is no students-teacher relationship but a friendly relation with a teacher. They can approach their teachers after the college timings too to clear the doubts or any other problem.

Mr Wasim Khan, respected principal of the College is a post graduate in LLM and IPR from a prestigious College. He has experience as a legal service manager and has worked under U.S. and U.K. clients.

Mrs Yasmeen Tabbasum is a labour lawyer and has a 20 year experience of teaching in Al-Ameen College. She has done her post graduate degree LL.M. (Labour laws) from University Law College Bangalore.
