JSS Law College is an autonomous institute for legal studies in India, functioning under the direction of JSS Mahavidyapeeth. The college was established in the year 1982 and is located in the city of Mysore, Karnataka.

JSS Law College offers undergraduate (B.A. LL.B Hons, B.B.A. LL.B Hons and LL.B) and post graduate degrees (LL.M) in law, along with certificate courses in human rights, cyber law and medical jurisprudence. The degrees are given by the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.

The B.A., LL.B and B.B.A., LLB courses offered by JSS Law College are of 5 years duration while the LL.B course is spread over a period of 3 years. Candidates must score at least 45% (40% in reserved) in their 10+2 examinations in order to be eligible for admission to the B.A., LL.B and B.B.A., LLB programmes. Those seeking admission to LL.B programmes must complete graduation or post graduation with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved category) marks.

JSS Law College LL.M Admission 2023

LL. M course is conducted over a period of 2 years. For admission to LL.M programme, applicants must complete graduation in law with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved category) marks.  

The admission is based on LSAT scores. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their 10+2, graduation and LSAT scores have to appear before the admission committee which makes the final decision on admission. The criteria for admission may be modified by the admission committee of the college.

JSS Law College Application Process

Candidates can obtain the application forms and prospectus from the college admissions office or request for it by post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 300 in favour of The Principal, JSS Law College Autonomous payable at Mysore, Karnataka. They must also send a self-addressed stamped envelope of Rs. 50.

  • Applicants can also apply online at the college website www.jsslawcollege.in.
  • The duly filled form must contain complete information about a candidate’s academic credentials, LSAT scores (if appeared for) and category (reserved/general).
  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their academic record have to appear in front of an admission committee for screening.
  • Those who have appeared for LSAT- India entrance test for law graduates must produce scores obtained in the same.

Candidates must send photocopies of the following documents along with the form:-
