Kerala Law Academy (KLA Thiruvananthapuram) was established in 1967 and it is the first private law college in Trivandrum, Kerala. The college provides courses at the UG level in the field of legal studies as a BA.LLB, B.Com LLB, and LLB. Along with the undergraduate programs, the college offers PG level courses like LLM and MBL. Admissions to most courses are merit-based while for others, an interview is also conducted. The university conducts its own entrance exam for admissions to BA LLB, BCom LLB, and LLB.

Kerala Law College Admissions

Admissions to the courses are on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination, followed by an interview. Candidates can apply online for the courses and also make the application payment online. 

How to Apply?

Candidates can fill the application form by following these steps:

  • Visit the official Academy website. 
  • Enter your name, email ID, password, and confirm password. A user ID and password will be generated. 
  • Fill in the details for the program as well as your personal and academic details. 
  • Go to the button "registration fee" and make a payment of INR 1000 by credit card net Bank / Debit / or Demand draft.
  • Upload the required scanned photo and signature, and the supporting documents
  • Print the completed application form and challan of the fee paid for future reference

  • Self-attested copy of SSLC or equivalent school records
  • Original document qualifying examination (if approved)

  • Library: The library offers an online service for national and international legal resources. Photostat facilities and computers are available in the library. Furthermore, all facilities for students to download legal documents at a reasonable cost are available. 
  • Moot court hall: Moot Court training is a time tested and reliable method and the best tool for a law student with the attributes of an effective and successful professional lawyer. It is used to hone and ascertain the skills of future lawyers. 
  • Hostel: The hostel facilities for men are provided within the campus only to selected students and a ladies hostel is also provided with an accommodation capacity of 120 students.
  • Canteen: The student restaurant inside the campus offers enough space for around 120 students at a time, seat, and has both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms and a special lobby and offers all kinds of food.
  • Guest rooms: Fully air-conditioned rooms on campus are designed for guests on campus such as academicians and lawyers who visit the campus for special lectures, conferences, and other scientific activities.
