Admissions to the Undergraduate courses is done considering 10+2 marks and selection is done on merit basis. Admissions to the is done on the basis of performance in graduation. The application form can be downloaded form the website or can be taken from the prospective. Applications are accepted both online and offline.

DAV has an active placement cell, under the supervision of a Training & Placement Officer and a committee of faculty members. The placement programme is spread over a three-month period, which gives the recruiting companies and the students' adequate time to interact with each other. DAV college Abohar has a total of 45 permanent teaching faculty members, out of whom 17 members are qualified with a Ph.D. These include 28 assistant professors and 17 associate professors. In addition, there are 69 temporary teaching faculty members. Seven faculty members are also involved in curriculum restructuring, revision, and syllabus development as members of Board of Study.
