The fees structure of the most university departments is feasible and reasonable but for a few departments like UILS the fee is a lot higher than the other departments due to some private stake in the department. Annual fee is approximately 85k, which is not reasonable and feasible. Admission fee is charged as well and the total fee is very high. The college does not provide much transparency in the fee breakdown, the fee is generally divided into two heads one goes to the University Registrar account and the other to the Department's Director.
My course being an integrated course, it deals with subjects of B. A. as well as Law. What I feel is, Eventually if the course is going to produce legal professionals least and basic knowledge should be given of the Arts subjects as they are not much useful and the syllabus of those subjects should be set accordingly that it suits even the legal field. For eg. Some of the theories in Political Science are irrelevant and no longer used they should cease to be in syllabus. The curriculum does not cover practical knowledge and is limited to theoretical one though the theoretical part to some extent is related to the on field work.
The fee amounts to almost 1 lakh per year which is quite expensive. The fee is 84400 for the first year, 88700 for the second year, 93200 for the third year, 97900 for the fourth year and 102800 for the final year amounting to 467000 in total. But there are scholarships provided by the college to which all students can apply.
It is quite systematic and professional. There are 10 semesters in total. Exams are held at the middle of and at the end of each semester. We are also expected to make presentation and do projects based in what we study.

College doing good but needs improvement. Emphasis should be laid on modern technology and equipment like e-classrooms, e-payment, better common areas etc. Declining rank of the university in the education rankings is something to worry about.
by Tanish DahujaIn order to expose students to the 'law in action', a compulsory intership has to be done by all the students with Hon'ble Judges of Supreme Court, Punjab and Haryana High Court, eminent lawyers, legal firms, various commissions and NGOs, etc.
by Manoj ChaudhariThe placements are not that good as compared to other universities. Kpmg comes every year but recruits only a fraction of students and that too at a very low package which is around INR 35,000 per month. However, internships are compulsory for every student.
