Harvard Business School ranks at 1st amongst all business schools of world, as per FT ranking of 2020 whereas London Business School ranks at 7th position. Last 3 year trend shows that HBS rank has been continuously improving. On the other hand, LBS ranking dropped from 4th in 2018 to 7th in 2020. 

Placement data shows that just 88% of HBS MBA graduates were employed within 3 months. However, more than 99% of LBS graduates started a full-time job in the same period of time but salary received by Harvard’s MBA graduates is higher by approx 30,000 USD. 

International community of London Business School’s MBA program is much more diverse with 94% of the class of 2022 belonging to foreign students. Comparatively only 37% of the students from Harvard’s MBA were international. 

MBA class of London Business School enrolls approximately 497 students but Harvard has class strength of approximately 732. Hence, the former’s class is more interactive than later’s.

Comparition of all the above criteria including admission statistics shows that both Harvard and London Business School give tough competition to each other and it is difficult to choose between the two. On one hand, Harvard has better ranking and salary package whereas on the other hand London Business School is more inclusive for international students, better placement rate and is easier to get into. The choice will depend on whether you want to study in USA or UK.
