Faculty :

The faculties of the college can be given a mark of 100. They always motivate us and make us to achieve heights. They consider the students as their own children. All the faculties have atleast a PG qualifications. Our HOD Dr.Cyriac Zacharias is also a good and motivating factor of our department.

Campus Life :

To be honest the campus life is a bit down in RCMAS when compared to other colleges in Kochi. Cultural and sports are not given appropriate attention. The college only gives permission to compete for management fests and no other cultural competition outside college is not entertained. Students are not even allowed to participate for MG university's main fest.No politics should be done on campus. The college is not tolerant of any simple form of PDA or anything. The economic status of students in RCMAS is pretty well off. Almost all students come from upper middle class to rich families.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As RCMAS is affiliated to MG university the curriculum followed here is as provided from the top. I have noticed that the college is more up to date and prompt in completing the portions than the university itself, even if there is a delay for the university in publishing its exam time table,RCMAS never fails to complete its portion in time. As regarding to the curriculum helping me in becoming a better professional i would like to say the seminars that we have to take in each semester actually helps in improving our self confidence and helps reduce stage fear

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I believe the fee structure is quite reasonable considering the reputation the college holds and moreover if a student is able to crack a good placement by getting into RCMAS its a win-win deal and won't make much of an issue. There are no additional charges other than the rs 100000 which is a refundable fund which has to deposited at college if we are taking a management seat, this is not applicable for people entering college through single window system.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Kannur University is an affiliated University, with seven campuses spread across the state along with several community colleges. Course Curriculum for the M. Com. was quite thorough. But the Kannur University has a history of Delaying the Annual exams. Not only that, you can’t expect the exam results to be announced on time. The lazy university officials would take almost a year to publish the results. The only victims of this mismanagement across the university are the final year students of both UG and PG courses. Even the study material is provided to the students just a few days before the exam, or as in some cases, just one day before the exam.

Remarks :

I pursued B.Com from Kannur University. My experience with the university was a bag of mixed feelings. On the academic level, it was all good. Extracurricular activities will leave you with some memorable moments. But apart from that, it’s a tough road ahead. The delayed exams, the delayed results, and the absence of placement cell were some of the other examples of mismanagement in the Kannur University.

Faculty :

The good thing about the University affiliated colleges is the pool of qualified faculty members. The majority of the faculty members are the alumnus of NITs with a working experience of 10+ years. The professors will guide you as much as they can. But the exam conducting team is the worst in the worst. They won't care about the students, especially the final year ones
