● Top Answer By Kanu Priya on 26 Oct 21

Ans. Doing B.Ed from any university will be helpful if you put in the required effort by yourself. Kalinga University is a valid option for pursuing a B.Ed degree. Although there are better private colleges than Kalinga in Chandigarh, where you can apply to do your B.Ed.  I will suggest that you do your research, visit the colleges personally, meet the departmental faculties, evaluate the atmosphere on campus and then decide. Read more

Ques. How is the correspondence B.Ed from Kurukshetra University?

● Top Answer By Neha Rani on 20 Oct 21

Ans. Apart from IGNOU, no other university offers decent corresponding B.Ed degrees. It is better to join a regular B.Ed course in your nearest possible university or college. Regular B.Ed courses will teach you how to give micro lessons in a school.  Attend classes frequently, if you can’t be present every day. Courses such as B.Ed are best to do in regular mode. Because recommendations of the B.Ed professors, the grade and response of the actual school where you taught, will count.Read more

Ques. Is Burdwan University good for a B.Ed?

● Top Answer By Kiran Chugh on 28 Sept 21

Ans. Burdwan University, at present, has the largest number of B.Ed affiliated colleges in the state of West Bengal. However, all the B.Ed universities fall under the category of “The West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education and Administration”. This procedure was started with CU, KU, etc. So, it does not necessarily matter from where you pursue your B.Ed degree. The only important factor to ensure is whether or not the university you have enrolled in has come under the NCTE website (Eastern Zone) during and after your course period. It is because the courses often lose their course validity period which is exactly why you should be aware of your steps.  Rest assured, Burdwan University is one of the most scoring universities for pursuing a B.Ed. Read more

Ques. What is the value of a B. Ed degree from IGNOU?

● Top Answer By Bhawna Vedwal on 10 Nov 20

Ans. IGNOU is an NCTE and AICTE approved institute that offers distance learning as well as open courses for students to obtain their degrees. The B. Ed course offered at the institute is via distance learning. Despite this, it holds the same credential value as any other B. Ed degree done from other universities. The following are the specifics regarding the same. Fees and Eligibility: The course fee for this degree is INR 50,000 with a duration between 2 to 5 years. To be eligible for the program, students must secure at least 50% in their graduation. Admission is done on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU. Course Curriculum and Structure: The course is a mix of theory and practical knowledge that will help students gather knowledge in the field of education and teaching. Various case studies and activities are included in every core course that helps individuals assess real-life scenarios. Students have to attain 72 credits in order to be eligible for the degree. Some of the topics included in the course are childhood and growing up, learning and teaching, pedagogy of science, math, social science, etc. Faculty: Most professors have a Master’s qualification at least and are on-board the faculty of the institute. A major part of the faculty is Ph.D. holders which ensures that students are learning from experts in the field. Practical Internship: The course also entails students to do a practical internship at a school to provide engagement with learners and the school. This internship is spread over two years and includes two internships. The first one is a short internship of 4 weeks and the second one is a longer one of 16 weeks. Students gain practical knowledge of various activities like assignment assessments, group activities, and an overall teaching experience. Thus, based on the points discussed above, the B. Ed degree at IGNOU definitely holds quite good value. It is as good as a B. Ed degree offered at any other institute.Read more
