Ques. Is NIT Puducherry for ECE better than IIITDM Kancheepuram for mechanical?

● Top Answer By Sakshi Gupta on 25 Oct 21

Ans. Opt for IIITDM Kancheepuram for Mechanical rather than ECE at NIT Puducherry. Here are some reasons as to why I feel so. Faculty: The faculty members at IIITDM Kancheepuram are highly experienced, some of them even have PhDs from the top IITs. At NIT Puducherry the faculty are not that experienced and are also few in number. Infrastructure: IIITDM Kancheepuram’s campus is excellent and appropriate for an educational institution. NIT Puducherry is still functioning from the temporary campus due to construction on the main site. Placements: NIT Puducherry is only known for its placement opportunities provided to its IT students. The rest of the department receives average placement offers. But IIITDM Kancheepuram provides great placements and maintains that record every year. Categories Mechanical Engineering at IIITDM Kancheepuram ECE at NIT Puducherry Course Fee 5.25 lakh 5.49 lakh Placement Percentage 75% 65% Highest CTC 10 LPA 15 LPA Average CTC 7 LPA 4 LPA Recruiting Companies Saint Gobain, L&T, Adobe, Zentrum Labs, etc. Emphasis, Capgemini, L&T, Mu Sigma, etc. Therefore, IIITDM Kancheepuram will be a better choice as here you can excel in your studies, get clear concepts about every topic. You will also receive industry-oriented and research-oriented teachings.Read more

Ques. Can I get Electronics Communication Branch with a general rank 1861 in MMMUT Admission Test If not then which Branch?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 16 Oct 21

Ans. I have a few friends from MMMUT. According to them, in this situation, the chances of getting a seat are very unlikely. Computer science and electronics communication branches are the most preferred ones. Since you are from the general category the chances are low but you should attend the counseling sessions to check in which branch you can get admission. In the third to the fourth round of counseling, you can get branches like Chemical Engineering. Read more

Ques. Can I build an appropriate profile for MS in USA while studying ECE in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 13 Oct 21

Ans. Yes, you will be able to build up your profile appropriately at Heritage Institute of Technology. If you are interested in Antenna Theory and Microelectronics then, this could be a precious opportunity for you as they have their own IEE EDS Chapter.  Most of the lecturers are quite disciplined about organizing a research paper for students and if you’ll be a bit serious about your course then there are high chances of your paper being published.  Moreover, there were many seniors of my friend who gone abroad and some made up to Pen State. Read more

Ques. Which is better for a B.Sc Allahabad University or ECC?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 08 Oct 21

Ans. Both Allahabad University and ECC are very good institutes and choosing one among these two can be a very difficult decision. If you are planning to pursue B.Sc, then there are some points which you should consider before choosing a college. ECC is an autonomous institute and the academic environment and course curriculum in B.Sc (Maths) are much better than Allahabad University.  AU has a lot of politics involved among the students throughout the year and this creates a lot of disturbance in the academic atmosphere.  If you are interested in studying in the Biology field, then choosing Allahabad University will be a better option. You will enjoy a lot of advantages including access to modern laboratories and central library, interaction with research students, and many other things.  If you are interested in taking admission in B.Sc (Maths), then choosing ECC will be the right option and if you are interested in taking admission in B.Sc (Biology), then choosing Allahabad University will be the right option. Read more

Course Curriculum Overview :

We had some of the best lecturers that taught us so much in detail. They went in and around the topic so we could understand better. Then, coming to projects we have a research lab where we can work on different projects and also simultaneously learn. College provides us with various funds so we can complete the project. They even provide us with placement training to get through placements. We have very good placements happening too. Industrial visits are organized to give a general idea of the industry working. Exams happen through VTU.

Placement Experience :

College provides us with various funds so we can complete the project. They even provide us with placement training to get through placements. We have very good placements happening too. They start at the beginning of 7th semester and happen till the ending of 8th semester. Industrial visits are organized to give a general idea of the industry working. I did my internship in a start up under my cousin but college provides internship as well.

Admission :

I got in through CET, so it was all through the CET admission portal. I had to pay the fee to the CET panel and they gave me a receipt. I had short listed this college during the CET online process as I was interested in Electronics and this college was the only one which offered a seat for my rank.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Since I got through Karnataka common entrance exam my college fee was feasible, it was 56050 during my first year (2014) and then for the rest 3 years it was around 50000 and we had to pay exam fees around 2000 per semester Mode of payment: beside the college we had Vijaya bank we used to pay in Bank.

College Events :

We had technical fest, annual fest (udbhav), Kannada rajyostava celebrations, theatre fest and many more During udbhav we used to have lot of fun Udbhav used to be there for 3 days for full 3 days we had lot of fun, different groups used to perform internally as well as from outside.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is groomed to provide industry specific knowledge if you are going to start your career in electronics and telecommunications domain otherwise if you are starting your career with software industry then it's very less equipped with industry specific knowledge.

Placement Experience :

Placement ia average. Mass recruiters such as TCS and Tech Mahindra are regular visitors to the college. Students are assessed based on aptitude, GPA secured and interviews. Around 60 percent are placed on campus. The rest go on for teaching or higher studies. Again, one needs to be proactive in finding an internship, research opportunity or a company of their liking. Overall, placements can definitely be improved.

Admission :

This institution is affordable, conveniently located and attracts bright minds. The course is sought after, with good curriculum, and an opportunity to secure a good job. Admission happend thought KCET (during my time, 2010), a common entrance exam. However, I recommend going through the entrance test and merit process itself.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Industrial visit was organized, but it could have been better. Much of the skills obtained was through interaction with peers. Curriculum is outdated, not very research driven. Industry- specific knowledge is only partially imparted. Students need to be proactive in finding internship and research opportunities.

Campus Life :

Weekly activities can offer a welcome break from studies and homework — particularly for senior students if they can spare the time. Depending on your child’s interests, they may provide the chance to get outside and exercise, see friends, pursue a hobby or simply destress and refresh their mind. They also help limit the time your child is spending in front of a TV or computer screen. They can help your child build their skills outside of the classroom In addition to building skills within a specific discipline, extracurricular activities are great for developing general academic and soft skills. Think debating for public speaking, academic competitions for exam strategies and sport for teamwork. Balancing a number of commitments can help to improve your child’s time management skills, while finding an area they enjoy or excel at can boost self-confidence. They can open your child’s mind to new interests (and views) While students usually have the opportunity to pursue a wide range of study areas through core subjects and electives, extracurricular activities allow students to explore an interest in more depth than what is covered in class — or maybe even find a completely new interest that they wouldn’t have been exposed to otherwise. They can also provide a great chance for students to broaden their perspective of the world, particularly those involved in volunteering and community service programs.

Admission :

I have submitted the online application form and the mark of CET I get admission in MIT ADT University Admissions officers review and make decisions on hundreds, sometimes thousands, of applications in a short period of time. They are under enormous pressure to assess the applicant pool in order to produce the best class and the best campus community possible. How you apply, when you apply, and what you say can all impact whether you receive an acceptance or a denial. What factors in to the increasingly selective college application process? What Matters Most A student’s record in and outside the high school classroom demonstrates to an admissions officer the kind of contributions he or she will make at the college level. Colleges are looking for candidates who perform consistently well or show a record of improvement in rigorous or college-prep courses. This means the right coursework, good grades, and activities that have a positive impact should be a continuous focus throughout high school.

Remarks :

The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education.

Remarks :

The college have only one court which is used for all the sports such as volleyball, throw ball, kabbadi, kho kho and others. The playground is very small. Also the college campus is very small when compared to other top colleges in Bangalore. The parking lot in the college is not very well maintained. It will get fully dust when vehicle is parked for 1 hour. And there is not enough space for all the students to park the vehicle. No car is allowed for the students to park inside the college only the faculty is allowed to park inside. If any student bring the car they have to park the car in the roadside where there is a chances it can get towed by the police.

Campus Life :

The labs in the college are very clean and maintained very well for the experiment. Some of the lab still uses the older equipment for the experiment. The sports day will be held once in a year where all the students take part to win the championship. also the sports director help us to take part in the sports such as baseball, softball, swimming, athletic etc in university level. There is no ragging in the campus as the cameras are every corner which is monitored they will take strict action immediately if any ragging case occours. The seniors are very friendly which makes us ease in the college premise.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am studying telecommunication engineering the syllabus which is in telecommunication is almost same of electronic and communication and the course curriculum consist of 8 semester, each semester consist of 3 internals exam and 1 externals exam for both practical Lab and theoretical subjects. Internals exam will be an average of two for 20marks and externals will be for 80 marks. The internal exam were held every month, but after the last internals we don't get much study holiday for external exams, which would make really tough to study for the external exams
