Ques. Which college is better for BMS, Hinduja or KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 04 Sept 21

Ans. I have a few friends from KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, so I can give you some insight into their BMS course.  KJ Somiya is not a good option if you really want to pursue BMS for knowledge and not just for the sake of a degree. The teaching experience for BMS at KJ Somiya will not be satisfactory.  If you prefer knowledge over a degree, then you should go to some other better colleges such as MCC in Mulund. But, if you just want a degree in BMS then you can opt for KJ Somaiya. KJ Somaiya has a huge campus. This is advantageous if you want to bunk lectures and have fun sometimes.Read more

Ques. Which course is the best? IIM Indore's IPM, BFIA / BMS at SSCBS, DU; BSc Fin. at NMIMS or BBA at Christ?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 31 Aug 21

Ans. The best among these institutes is, undoubtedly, IIM Indore. During the first three years of IPM at IIM Indore, you will focus on various topics and learn a number of concepts. The institute has experienced and capable faculty. The main reason for IPM’s popularity is due to the tag IIM has given.  Following are some of the pros and cons of the IPM program at IIM Indore: Pros  Renowned experts are in charge of designing unique programs. Apart from the coveted IIM tag, the infrastructure is excellent, the faculty is great and the network of alumni is also very popular. The peers are also very supportive and helpful. The final two years are spent with the students of PGP. Placements are improving every year A wide range of co-curricular activities. If you want to appear in other entrance exams you will face no pressure and continue your preparations smoothly. Cons The program is still growing so it is still settling. When compared to the PGP program there may be some bias, unfortunately. Your future scopes might suffer a blow if compared to a more secure option like engineering. This will happen only if you are not sure of IPM and switching courses might prove to be troublesome. In addition to the previous cons, you will get a certificate from IGNOU instead of a proper degree. In the case of the other colleges, you will probably not face some of the cons.Read more

Ques. How are the placements for BMS students in Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NM College)?

● Top Answer By Admin on 06 Aug 21

Ans. Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NM College) is under the banner of SVKM trust. Allegedly, placements of all colleges that come under the SVKM banner work very differently in various colleges, since they have their own placement cells.  The placement cell is not quite particular to the numerous courses offered but is rather particular to the college. That means Mithibai generally has its own placement cell, and so does NM, UPG, or NMIMS. I have a few friends from NM College and from them I got some idea about the placement for the BMS course. Here is a placement report of BMS in Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. Number of Students Placed 80% Average Salary Package INR 5 LPA Highest Salary Package INR 10 LPA - INR 12 LPA Top Recruiting Companies Jindal Steel Pvt (JSW), JP Morgan, Stanley KPMG Every college established under the SVKM banner is commonly top-notch. Several top-tier firms visit the college from time to time for a varied number of offers. At NM College the recruiting companies range from start-ups to giant MNCs, Big 4s, and various others.Read more

Ques. Which is a better option, IPM from IIM Rohtak or BMS from Shaheed Sukhdev?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 31 Jul 21

Ans. Having some of my friends study in both colleges, I can say that enrolling in Shaheed Sukhdev for BMS would be much more apt than that of IIM Rohtak for IPM. Both the colleges hold their places enormously but Shaheed Sukhdev will be better due to their overall educational experience. There are several reasons for choosing it, some are: BMS as compared to IPM is a much older course. The placement of Shaheed Sukhdev reached heights due to their BMS course. The highest package offered to the students of Sukhdev College was around 18 LPA (latest). You can also get a chance to do your MBA from some other top IIMs in the country later on in life. Moreover, IPM Rohtak would be taking in its second batch, and hence no point in talking about placements. Categories IPM at IIM Rohtak BMS at Shaheed Sukhdev Course Fee 30.75 lakh 40,075 Course Duration 5 years 3 years Highest CTC 24 LPA 19.25 LPA Average CTC 13 LPA 8-10 LPA Recruiting Companies Amazon, Accenture, Berger, Capgemini, etc. Google, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, etc. It is suggested that you choose BMS over IPM. Though, both have their pros and cons but opting for BMS is worth more than IPM. Also, Sukhdev has a great market reputation and placement record. After all, it’s your decision that matters. Think appropriately for yourself. Good Luck.Read more

Ques. Which one is better, BMS at NM or BBA at NMIMS?

● Top Answer By Janvi Bhambri on 09 Jul 21

Ans. BBA at NMIMS is a better option than doing a BMS at NM. NM College offers a Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) degree which is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. NMIMS is deemed to be a university that offers a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). The biggest drawback of NM College or by extension the University of Mumbai is that the course has not changed over a long time and is not in sync with the current industry demand. The evaluation process of the University of Mumbai also lacks transparency. NMIMS being a private deemed university is free to change its course according to the needs of the industry and thus offers better adaptability. The course curriculum is also highly interactive with lots of projects and presentations. This will help you not only to learn but also to gain experience. This is precisely the reason so many students opt for NMIMS despite its high fee.Read more
