Ques. What should I choose, a dual degree MSc program in BITS Hyderabad or some branch in NIT Raipur, or CSE in NIT Puducherry?

● Top Answer By Sakshi Gupta on 25 Oct 21

Ans. Choose BITS Hyderabad over NIT Raipur or NIT Puducherry. Here are some of the reasons for choosing this institute: They offer a beautiful campus with an enthusiastic student crowd. BITS Hyderabad has updated modern machinery and lab facilities. The placements definitely differ between the BITS and NITs. NIT Raipur is very old-fashioned in its approach towards studying and learning. Their faculties teaching method is old and prefers their students mugging up notes rather than learning and understanding something. BITS, unlike NIT Raipur, their teaching method is industry-oriented. You might think that going for a dual degree is better as IT companies only prefer CSE graduates. But nowadays this notion has changed as with big data and analytics creating a boom, more and more such companies visiting campuses and hiring people from all branches. Therefore it is suggested that you go for BITS Hyderabad, where you will grow and learn in a much more competitive environment. Your vision will be broadened.Read more

Ques. What happens when I fail all of the subjects in a B.Sc. Hons. at WBSU?

● Top Answer By Sakshi Gupta on 20 Oct 21

Ans. No one has ever failed in honors in all the subjects. Most students tend to fail in chemistry, but this also varies a lot. Let me discuss some of the possible reasons, which may answer your question. Failed to Qualify for Honours: If you score below 40% in your honors subject, chances are you will lose it. In this situation, you can either try to repeat another year or proceed with B.Sc. General. Qualified for Honours but failed in any/both general subjects: This happens when you get a score lower than 25% in the general subjects. For this, the board conducts a supplementary exam, passing which you will be able to continue without any year loss. Failing in both Honours and General subjects: This scenario is not seen very often. But if you fail in every subject, you have to start again from the beginning, next year. If you fail consecutive years, then the college might give you a Termination Certificate. Finally, it is really important to know that a student has to complete his or her graduation within 5 years, failing which your registration will be canceled.Read more

Ques. Which is better for a B.Sc Allahabad University or ECC?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 08 Oct 21

Ans. Both Allahabad University and ECC are very good institutes and choosing one among these two can be a very difficult decision. If you are planning to pursue B.Sc, then there are some points which you should consider before choosing a college. ECC is an autonomous institute and the academic environment and course curriculum in B.Sc (Maths) are much better than Allahabad University.  AU has a lot of politics involved among the students throughout the year and this creates a lot of disturbance in the academic atmosphere.  If you are interested in studying in the Biology field, then choosing Allahabad University will be a better option. You will enjoy a lot of advantages including access to modern laboratories and central library, interaction with research students, and many other things.  If you are interested in taking admission in B.Sc (Maths), then choosing ECC will be the right option and if you are interested in taking admission in B.Sc (Biology), then choosing Allahabad University will be the right option. Read more

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are many courses present at this college. But I choose to do a Bachelor of Science. As I have a special attachment from my childhood with science and I love this subject so much so I decided to explore this field more and more. In our course, there are more than 300 students in our college. After 1st Internal I understand that it is not that easy to pass as we have to do the study with lots of concentration and hard work. And the teaching method in our college is one thing I don't like that much as some of the teachers use only Bengali language to explain the chapters which are not easy to understand for many non-bengali students. But some teachers use both English and Hindi language also. But the exams always occur at the same time and it a quite tough to pass all these exams.

Campus Life :

There are fest happened in our college including a freshers party which quite memorable for me and also there are many more fests that happened in our college in the month of November, March, and also in Teacher's Day, and Children's Day. The library is so good at our college as we can get as so many books from there and we can study there or we can take for some time also by issuing the library card. Annual sports are also organized in our college and also our college wins so many trophies in many sports. There are student unions going in our college.

Placement Experience :

As I haven't much idea about the campus because I just completed my 1st year in this pandemic situation going on so I am not able to gather that much information about the campus or placement happen in our college. My plan is to go into the pharmacy field after I complete my education and get my degree from college. And also I m trying to clear the SSC examination to get a government job as soon as possible. Because I want to help my father to maintain the situation of our family.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is structured and broken down to create a sense of better understanding for the students. Assignments are basically research driven to ensure the students have an all around development in their students.Exam structure is focused on bringing out the best in each and every student.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Extremely feasible. The fee for a girl child in accordance with the government is fixed now at rs 120 per quarter. Additional fees and charges are nominal like the library and lab charges which are extremely expansive and informative.Yes the college is extremely transparent in providing a fee breakdown

Admission :

You apply and will qualify only based on merit and the personal interviews conducted by the college. The institute is extremely reputed with state of the art facilities. The library is expansive and even the labs are huge and well equipped. All the staff are extremely helpful and well qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In milliya sr. College there is many courses available but I have done my 12th in science stream and I wanted to do graduation I have selected B.Sc. In B.Sc. Department There is the very experienced staff and other faculty. The laboratory is also available for all subjects required. The classrooms are very clean and hygiene. There are weekly tests are taken for almost all subjects by their subject teachers. Also, pre-semester exams are taken which is very difficult to pass. There is a rule of eligibility to attend in the main exam of 75% attendance.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for B.Sc. in Milliya Sr. College is nullable also you can get Here minority scholarship of 3600 if you belong to the minority community. The college has been tied-up with companies in big cities like Aurangabad, Pune, Mumbai, etc. There is a campus has been taken every year in which final year students are selected and after completing degree they can join their job on a contract basis with a monthly salary of around 10000

Placement Experience :

Students can give interviews with respective companies in the third year. All teachers help students with interview preparation and other things. Around 8 to 10 companies visited last year in which around 100 to 120 students are selected from our college. There is a negative thing is you have to score above 85 for campus interview. I am planning to complete graduation and continue my education in M.Sc.

Placement Experience :

There are no placements through college. You have to search for a job on your own. If you are interested in research or industrial work microbiology is for you. The stipend that you will get as fresher ranges from 5k to 20k per month. After BSc in microbiology you can opt for masters in the same field or can choose biological science, life science or biotechnology. The scope and profile are purely based on research skills. If interested in 10 hours of lab work research definitely go for it.

Campus Life :

The campus is not that big but has a clean and decent environment to hang out. Culture diversity helps a lot to engage in various activities. We have various committees sports club, gym, girls/boys common room with indoor games, the committee for disabled( blind or ear impairment) students, national social service and Ruia science association. The college has two fests inter and intramural. It is a lot of fun and has a very good aura.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The professors are highly qualified with a PhD degree and some with masters. The college has a good student-mentor ratio. In one batch there are around 30 to 40 students. The curriculum is very appropriate since the college is now autonomous. Theories and practicals are conducted effectively. Exams are semesters wise whereas there are assignments and other basic tests taken on a weekly basis.

Admission :

I was in this college since 3 years and it has been one of the best experience. We have an admission committee who looks after the admission process and is managed and maintained well. Various teachers are appointed for various jobs during the admission process and each student is taken well care of and supported we'll during the hash time of admission.

Faculty :

Our college and faculty members are very flexible and allow us to contact them via call or whastapp or mail. The teachers see to it that doubts are cleared and if not cleared even then, the teacher provide you tube links for better understanding. PowerPoint presentations and noted are shared by teachers for better understanding of students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exam committee pools after the exams and results and makes sure everything is done properly without any confusion. All students and their doubts are treated with well respect and the office makes sure the doubt is cleared and the student gets his/ her report card and other things done.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The learning system of college is awesome. but due to the lebel of government college it's reputation is not very much good. in a short view the college is good with all of its branches. teachers are very punctual and honest towards its duties. there is also big lab with the psesence of all accessories.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I think this course has helped me in gaining knowledge about in the field of computers and statistics as I always wanted to learn about computers, programming etc. The college campus is very efficient in giving knowledge about the industry specific knowledge. No, there were not any industrial visits organized for students.

Campus Life :

The campus life is very peaceful. And when I was studying in the college, it was only boys college at that time. There are extracurricular activities which include sports and competitions. The labs are provided for students which help students in getting the practical knowledge about the subjects.

College Events :

There is a fest that happens every year in the college which is named as Techno Quest. In this event, all the students have to prepare for a presentation and the judges help in finding the talents of the students. The event is very big as the students from various colleges join this event.

The Gender ratio of Boys & Girls =5:2. There are no violence at our college premises based on gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. There is a big diversity in culture. There is almost no extracurricular activity options except like sing or dance.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are minimal. The Tuition fee per year 1200, exam fee 700, library fee 150, light health etc like 600-800 per year. The college gives complete transparency on fee breakdown. There is no additional fees for secure admission seat. I have only give them admission fee and exam fee.

Admission :

After filling the application form they made merit list based on board marks then I go for the counciling and my name came according to the merit list serial number. And I got admitted. There was three counciling. I got admition on 3 rd council. I get Mathematics Honours.
