Amiphoria, the annual fest is held every year from February- March and lasts for 3 days. Many cultural and sports events are held during the fest. There are tons of resources available in the library from books, magazines, papers, and journals to fictional books. The classes are well equipped with AC/s and projectors. There are facilities available for basketball, tennis, badminton, cricket, and football. Some student-run clubs are present which conduct various events

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is plenty of faculty available for the students and all of them are knowledgeable and well-educated. Most of them are PhD holders and have relevant work experience in their fields. The teaching methods include class discussions and presentations. The exams are held twice during one semester and some subjects were relatively hard than others.

Tmost important annual fest 'PULSE' is conducted in the month of April. Various movie stars and artists are invited. A huge stage is set up in the ground and the event carries out in the course of 2 days with competitions like Fashion shows, face painting, photography, meme-making, rangoli making, singing, and dance competitions are taken place, and Dj night second day. On both days different celebrities are invited. Food stalls are also available. Another bigger fest conducted is the 'Market' for organizing different stalls for activities and food. Dj is also kept on the same day and famous DJs, as well as comedians, are invited. The library of IMS has a digital library and a traditional library. Books of all courses are available for reading and issuing. Different language books are available. Every classroom is equipped with projectors and charging points at each desk. All the chairs are office chairs. Ac ducts are installed in every classroom. 22 different clubs are run by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course to further specialize in genetic engineering. There are different faculties for each and every subject that specialize in the particular field. The students are taken as per the seats available. Most faculties have doctorate degrees and the least qualification of a faculty is a masters in that specialization and work experience in an esteemed organization. The teaching methods vary from providing handwritten notes to teaching on the projectors. Each teacher is required to complete the syllabus on a stipulated time and revision classes are taken periodically. Examinations are taken four times per year: two internals, one pre-University test, and one annual exam. The internals is to test the basic knowledge of students and is moderately difficult to pass. PUTs contain the whole syllabus and are more difficult.

Because I want to do something biological field. The ratio is 1:50. The qualification of the faculty is very high most of them completed their Ph.D. in their respective field. The difference between the two-term exams is almost 6 months and it is very easy to pass if you give a little bit of effort.

Campus Life:

The name annual fest is winter fest and the tech fest name is alap in December month. In this section, our university is lacking. Talking about Amenities the classrooms are very advanced and have a lot of perfect laboratories. No there is no social group or website run by students.

It's not actually difficult to passout in the exams. Some Faculty members are very helpful and some are not. I have many complaint against some faculties and also some staffs in the exam cell. Their behavior with students is unexpectable. They are behaving with us like we are servant. I have some problems in my marksheets. My name spelling is wrong in the marksheets. I request for correction several times but till not they are not solving my problem. So, I, therefore request to the CEO of our University please do something.

Campus Life:

The are many fest conducted in the the University, Such as Saradiya fest, end year fest and many more. You can take you syllabus books from library (If available). To take book from library you must apply for library card. Annual sports is conducted between November and December.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure is 25000 for even semesters and 24000 for odd. At least it was the structure for my graduation year. I have not much idea about the hike but they say the fee overall is now 1,74,000. We also have campus placement in the colleges. Both in other sectors and the core sector. The avg package is 2.5lpa and the previous year the placement rate was almost 85%

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I always had an interest in pursuing a career in a biology-related field. The student-teacher ratio is 1:20. All teachers are Ph.D. holders, they provide good easy notes but should provide them not just before the exam. The mindset and end sem exam depend on the University it is affiliated to. The questions are of moderate level.

Ques. How good is biotechnology at Manipal University?

● Top Answer By Mohak Narang on 09 Jun 21

Ans. Biotechnology from Manipal University provides you with knowledge about the development in the area of Biotechnology with respect to industry, agriculture, and medicine. My brother who graduated from Manipal University claims that the placement opportunities at this university are insane. You can see a well-maintained team that arranges employment opportunities with their excellent links with the good industries. The director keeps his eye on the work of the institution and this, as a result, helps the students to avail maximum benefits. There are a handful of career opportunities after doing the Biotechnology course, which includes - working for TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and many great MNCs or working for the industries based on biotechnology such as Nicholas Pirimal ltd, Philips HealthCare, Biocon, etc. You could go for research in biofuels, environmental biotechnology, process industry, industrial biotechnology, etc.Read more
