B.Sc (Hons.) Biotechnology: Eligibility

Candidates who seek admission to B.Sc (Hons.) in Biotechnology program are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Those who have qualified their 10+2 examination in the stream of Science or any equivalent examination with at least three of the subjects from amongst Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology at the intermediate level with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and above can avail for admission.

Our college conducts an annual fest. And the fresher welcome fest. And also conduct the inter-college tech fest. Books' availability in the library is good. Brainware has a social group or pages on Facebook. University conducts the annual sports in January month.

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Many private or semi government companies visit the campus for placement. 80-90% of students are placed well.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, there are many companies that gave the internship opportunity. In our department, we have an internship opportunity from the SHRM biotechnology company.

The fees of the college is affordable for the all the groups of students. The total fess of the three year degree course is only rupees 3,750. This amount for a three year course is affordable for all the sections of the society. Every year 1,050 is paid as tution fee and rupees 200 as extra charges.

Faculty :

The faculties of the college are very helpful. They always solve our doubts and are ready to repeat the things till the students do not understand it well. The faculties for the lab classes are expertise of their subjects and conduct the labs in a manner that we get things correctly.

Faculties are very knowledgeable and will help you to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge. It all depends upon how much you want to learn. Also you'll be taught one foreign business language, behavioral science and basic english.

Internships Opportunities :

Well I did my first internship from Indraprasth Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi in the department of Microbiology and did my second internship from IBRI, Noida on In-silico drug designing. You'll have to look for internships on your own. You'll be provided a time frame to pursue your internship and submit your project report at the end.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The university provides 50 to 100% scholarships to students who secure 90% and above in their board examinations. The scholarship is extended based upon your academic performance in the university exams. Also if you are looking for a loan, there is a branch of OBC in the campus itself.

We have various curricular activities held inside our campus for students to participate, we have UGC NET training for students, events, guest lectures of faculties from various top institute, seminars, conferences, research in various fields and is in collaboration and recognised by institutions from abroad and are printed in international journals as well, sports facilities are also available, lab's are well equipped with modern equipment's.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is a 3 year course divided into 6 semester, which is mainly focused on research, higher studies, with a field getting popular in science, and studying PhD in future. The course has both practical and theory, we have more practicals which is needed and develops an interest in the field. We have internals as well. Labs sessions are good and help us grown knowledge, they are fruitful.

Placement Experience :

We have good opportunity after completing the course, since science is a subject which is getting more popular nowadays, because of research as one of the leading factor. We have opportunities to hold executive roles through competitive examinations as teacher, Higher studies, Scientific Officer, Research Assistant, Quality control officer, technical officer, etc.
