Remarks :

That time were too crucial for me & my parents too for choosing this industry as a career option but we (I) did it with patience and my honest attitude towards education ! So, after the whole and sol discussion with all my relatives & friends I came to the final decision of choosing the career as a hospitality aspirant. And now I'm satisfied with my decision that I took before.

College Events :

As we're in a hospitality sector we were the Future leaders or Representors from the college, So we tought like that only. if you are the one who gonna manage operation in future then why won't you do that in campus itself, So we've supposed to arrange Flash Mob, Dandiya Nights, Theme lunch/dinner, Festival ceremonies etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I do have a passion for food and wines. Faculty is very standard and limited strength they will in so that they can easily interact with all the students. The qualification of the faculty is we have doctorate-level staff for management subjects and all core subjects we do have post-graduate staff and industry experts. The teaching method very transparent so that anyone can catch the concept as well as we have smart class and highly equipped labs. There will semester exams I.e two semesters per year. They ll be not more difficult so that we can write easily write by listening to the classes of the faculty and we can gain the knowledge that we can sprinkle from our fingertips

Campus Life :

We celebrate two big and top annual festival one will be in September that is Aarush and another one is that which we will celebrate in the month of March that is MILAN it is a national level fest which we celebrate around 5 days we have more than 300 competitions will be held in the campus wrong have a big central Library of 16 floors. We have separate court got each and every indoor ad outdoor games. We have a group called DIRECTOR OF STUDENTS AFFAIRS (DSA) which deals with all the problems of the students in the campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure depends on the entrance examination. It will be around 80k per year not included a hotel for food and accommodation it ll be around 130k they can assist you for the bank loans and we ll get placements in top brands like TAJ, ITC, HILTON, MARRIOTT. and another topmost brand and in industrial training stipend is paid around 4k to 8k depends on brands and group of hotels

Placement Experience :

From starting of 6th semester itself our seniors have got placements in top hotel chains like Itc, taj, Radisson etc.minimum salary for BSc students is around 13k-15k per month and maximum will be based on the student performance. 100% of students have got placements. After getting this degree my plans are to become a good chef in big hotels.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was interested in cooking so I have chosen this course.good and friendly staff with excellent teaching skills. Well qualified and experienced faculty. In BSc HHA, we have 6 semesters including industrial training in every semester. We will have one midterm exam and semester exams.

Campus Life :

Social life in this college is good. Many fest and programs will be conducted in college. The library is so good We have plenty of books. Good and modern classrooms. Sports fest will be held every year and many other activities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college not only has great faculties who make every effort to make sure that every student learns, there are also clubs that help in the mutual growth of students in an overall manner. There is a club in college for each major core department that includes front office, housekeeping, food and beverage service and kitchen. In the second year of college you will be mandatory taking to do an internship at a 5 star hotel to learn and have a hands-on experience on the industry as to give you an industrial exposure which helps in the time of placements. There are six semesters over three years and every semester has one midterm examination and one final and term examination and in the fifth and sixth semester on campus placements happen. College also has a hundred percent placement rate.

Placement Experience :

Most major hotels and hotel chains visit the college during the placements. The institution has conducted various webinars and seminars on premises in order to to groom the students and prepare them for the placements. Of the brands that came to college are Marriott International, Hilton group of hotels, starbucks, pride hotels, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, ginger hotels, Oyo rooms, park hotels, Hyatt, Accor hotels, third wave coffee roaster, bata etc.

Admission :

When I was in class 12 I entered a cooking competition and realised that maybe hotel management was the thing for me so I got to know about the entrance exam NCHMCT JEE which was to be held in May and the results would come out by June after which college would start from July. I heard a lot about the faculties who were the aces in their fields with a lot of work and reputation in the industry as well.

I had an interest in Cooking and wanted to pursue a career in the Hospitality Industry. During the 80s Dadar Catering College ( as IHMCTAN, Mumbai was popularly known as) was the premier Institute to pursue Hotel Management and to procure admission there was a dream.Every year the National Hotel Management and Catering Technology, under which the Mumbai Institute is managed, issues a Entrance exam notification. After filling the form, you are asked to appear for the entrance exam. After the results are declared, there is a panel interview and then the seat is allotted in the college. You are asked for your preference amongst the various Institutes all over the country and you are selected as per your performance in the entrance exam and personal interview and sent to the Institute as per your selection.

Course Curriculum Overview :

From my perspective, the course was something different from the regular engineering and medicine course which normally one pursues and gathers knowledge about beforehand. I had no one in the Hotels to guide and hence I was absolutely unaware of the curriculum. The three years spent there including internship really helped me to gain an insight into the workings of the Hotels, which has helped me all these years. To the extent that I have worked as a General Manger for a few hotels including 5 star properties.Industrial visit and internships are well planned and for sufficient duration for the Student to plan his / her future.The curriculum was so designed as to provide great knowledge of the various departments and to try and become Industry ready.

Campus Life :

We had a congenial atmosphere in the campus. The gender ratio was around 60:40 and we had some international students also. The hospitality industry was a great leveler during our time. Everyone had to do everything that we were told to do. Right from cleaning toilets to washing dishes, we were trained to do so. This cleared all the fields and everyone got along great on the campus. We were fortunate that during our time we were not bothered or concerned about race / religion/ ethnicity/ etc.

Alumni/Alumna :

When I was new to the hostel, senior girls are very rude to us like seriously I didn't liked their behavior towards us. They always said its not ragging but I think they give us a mental stress. as I have been through depression once and I still take medicine. I feel these things very stressive. they do name session give punishment, insults us, want us to wear traditional dress all the tym, wants us to wish them everytime, want that we dont talk to boys and many more things.

Faculty :

We have almost 7-8 practical classes and some theory classes and I must say faculty in our college is good. as they are from a very big hotels. some faculties once was a general manager of taj, le meridien etc. faculties are very friendly, understanding. this I observed when I had a personal issues and college tried their best to solve it.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is not much according to the course this Institute is offering. its feasible not expensive. I managed to pay the fee first time but then I applied for the education loan, as many middle class students are also in the college. So I think some can manage this fee. but education loan is much better.

The fee is for this course is semester wise in which odd and even semester pattern. Gandhinagar is B graded city that's why fee For IHMA Is more than Other institutes by 15%. And scholarships are also available for selected casts member. Campus record of IHMA is also very good. The campus record of the academic year 2019 is 92%. Course Curriculum Overview :

All faculty member of IHMA is well experienced and very good. All faculty member has the experience of hotels jobs. They all come college as faculty but before that, they all do the jobs in the Big brands like Oberoi, The Taj Hotel, The Grand Hayat, etc. So my experience with a faculty member is great.

Campus Life :

The social life of the campus is also very good. The atmosphere is very fresh and Hygienic. There is no ragging done on campus when new 1st years is joined the collage. Overall it's a good experience.

There are different labs for different things Like for food and beverage service two labs are there like one is advance training restaurant and one basic training restaurant. And for food production advance training kitchen and basic training kitchen with one bakery. For front office there are one front office lab and a computer lab. For housekeeping a different in campus hotel is there called EDC.

Admission :

I want to grow my career in hotel management & this is the best college in this field. IHM Bangalore is best college in india according to the NCHM ranking 2018. And also its top in the academic field. Normally college exam nchmct form available from January to April And also on last Sunday of April we have our exam from July we have start our admission.

Faculty :

For every subject we have different faculties with specialization and enough experience in industry. They are well knowned in country and also won so many awards internationally. Our f&b head is mr. Pramod Kumar sir who's is best in his subject For kitchen we have ranojya chef For front office head we have Anjali mam For housekeeping we have dr. Duke.

Admission :

By entrance exam which is organised in 16 April 2017 and I got 86% marks to get the admission in the college. The entrance is like multiple choice question setups. They provide me some times to the admission. The admission fee is 100000 rupees so I can't pay this huge amount they take only 20000 rupees for my admission.

Campus Life :

Campus lifestyle is good and improve day by day. Gender ratio is 60:40.extra curricular is - sports, dance performance, and personality development classes are also on. Live workshop model is also in the college. We have computer lab, service lab (food & beverage, food production).

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yaa it's expensive but still they provide us to divide them equality by semester by semester. If your course fee is 400000 for 3 years. You have 6 semester and in the beginning of the semester we have to paid the fee for their next semester which is approximately 60000.
