Ans. Kalyani University is a very popular institution and pursuing an engineering degree from this university has its own pros and cons. Some of my friends studied there and here are the things I got to know from them. Pros  This institution is owned and run by the government. The complete fees for your 4 years of graduation is less compared to other private colleges. The faculty of this college is very good and all other staff members such as lab assistant, office staff, canteen staff are very helpful.  The university also hires some external professors having years of industry experience to teach and guide the students.  This gets them accustomed to the corporate culture.  The total number of students in this department is less so you will always have the chance to interact with your professors. Cons One of the biggest demerits of this university is that it doesn't have a proper placement cell in its campus.  Securing a job offer is tough, and you have to take the initiative yourself. The infrastructure of this college is average. The computer lab, electronics lab, instrumentation lab don't have adequate facilities.  The campus is located in a remote area. Ans. Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision: KJ Somaiya has slowly improved over the years and now is considered much better than Mumbai University (MU). Vivekanand is known to keep track of attendance which is not the case with KJ Somaiya. If you are considering doing Electronics, you should know that Electronics and Telecommunications has an upper edge. The exams at KJ Somaiya are tougher than MU. This is because MU repeats a lot of previous years’ questions. You will get a 5 day holiday in MU before a semester paper. At KJ, you will only get a day or two. Therefore, at KJ, your exams will be hectic. The semesters end pretty quickly at KJ as opposed to MU.  MU students only get one month’s leave after a semester ends. For KJ, this leave is for 2 months.  You can utilize this time to look for internships and other activities that will help strengthen your resume. Electronics has a few subjects like digital communication which might overlap with telecommunications. Ans. EE at IIT Dhanbad is unquestionably superior to NIT Calicut’s ECE. According to some of my friends studying at IIT Dhanbad, you should never lose the chance of studying at IIT Dhanbad.  So far as the branch is concerned, there is a minor difference.  ECE is more concerned with IT than EE.  But it doesn't matter if you're in a prestigious institution.  In reality, almost all branch students learn to code and apply to tech companies at IIT. You will have plenty of opportunities to learn whatever you want at the institution.  It is entirely up to you whether you want to work in core companies or IT companies after completing EE. Ans. There is nothing called instrumentation engineering. The students usually study the syllabus of the electronic branch that includes learning low-level languages along with the complete command of them.  There is a very high demand for highly skilled engineers who know the top programming languages like TopCoder, GitHub, and many more.  Learning these languages totally depends upon the person that they can do without going to college. Becoming an electronics engineer totally depends upon the person, and their effort, not the college.  Some of the students follow the GATE syllabus to enter into the government sectors.  Some get recruitment in top private companies by learning these programming languages. The college can help you out only by giving a proper study environment that can promote your overall development.  If you wish to join the private sector, then only the placement facility provided by the college is useful to you. Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is pretty interesting according to me. It deals with sensors and control engineering as all the engineering fields are equally important and good,I m not gonna discriminate. But if someone is into physics and applied mathematics and electronics they can enjoy Instrumentation department very much. Also it challenges you in every step. According to me it's something you can work on and study in depth after graduation.

Remarks :

It has highly qualified professors and also the lab is very well equipped. Also I want to pursue higher studies in my field and heritage was the best possible option I got with my rank. And also the campus is verry goodlooking and many activities except studies can be perused. Its a culturally rich family we have in our college.

College Events :

There are a lot of events.department as well as cultural. Every one can be busy doing something or the other. There more than 12 to 13 clubs. Some of them are very active and also help in environmental issues and underprivileged kids. There is gamming club, music club,dance club,drama club,coding club, and many more

Our technical and cultural fests are always a fav among us.The college holds them in a grand way.Many of us participate and it's a feeling of unity.We practise during the class time and even after college and win prizes for best performance.This year,stebin Ben had come to our cultural fest.A popular musical band had also come.Cultural fest are always dear to us.Same is for departmental freshers and departmental fests.In the entire college,our departmental fest is being held in the most prosperous and grand way.But nevertheless,other departmental fests are also a centre of attraction.

Campus Life :

Our college has full wifi connection in all the buildings.There's calm to the eyes as there's lot of greenery around.We have a separate team for sports who have played intra and inter level competitions.Library is very big and there's also e-book,ejournals,all available.One can avail the library even after college or on sat within the stipulated time.Labs are well equipped with all the necessary and latest equipments.Language lab is a place of divine.

TCS,wipro,amazon, are some of the key recruiters that come to our college every year.Apart from them,byjus,Infosys, and many other high profile companies come to our college for placements.On an average,80% of our students each year get placed in high profile companies with much more than the average salary per annum.many of our alumni are now working abroad under famous companies in a very high post.

I had eligible for higher education in the entrance exam and short listed in the entrance rank list and approched my college. They received my request for managment quota admission. They go through my higher secondary Mark's and entrance rank. They call me for their interview and selected me for studying the specific course.

Malhar & Aura is our arts and cultural fest conducted yearly. Every year we celebrate this with inter college technical fest with two days. This provide the students to increase their innovative thinking to make technical things. Cultural fest is also for two days which increase the arts and cultural activities of students.

Placement Experience :

Placements and job opportunities are vast in the campus. They provide internships without stipend. They send students to industrial sectors for our internships and we complete that from industries and acquire certificates. In the fourth year of the degree period they provide campus recruitment and placements.
