Eligibility For B. Tech. Avionics Engineering
To pursue a B. Tech degree in Avionics Engineering, a candidate must have a pass in 10+2 level study. Most institutions accept only students from the Science stream, with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics being required subjects. Few institutions specify that Computer Science must also have been a subject of study at the +2 level.
The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology accepts only those with above 75% at the +2 level (65% for reserved categories). Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and two other subjects, one of which must be a language. JEE Advanced is another criterion for admission.

The prominent colleges in the country who offer this degree do not allow admission without completing the prerequisite processes, i.e., there is no direct admission. Students wishing to pursue this degree are advised to undertake some of the primary engineering entrance examinations, as most institutions consider this performance as the basis for admissions.
