Ques. Should I go for chemical engineering at Heritage Institute of Technology or CSE at Techno India, Salt Lake ?

● Top Answer By Satyam Purwar on 23 Sept 21

Ans. Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) is a very popular engineering institute and if you are interested in pursuing Chemical engineering then you should definitely take admission in this college.  The competition is much less for chemical engineering students and a lot of facilities are available for them. There are a lot of placement opportunities available for students and they can easily get a job in both core and IT companies.  Many students are getting PSU through GATE and some core companies such as BOC, PCBL, Paharpur Cooling towers, Voith Papers, etc. visit the campus for interviews.  But if you are interested in technology and coding then you should probably choose Techno India as this college provides very good opportunities to CSE students.  The placements available are very good and top companies such as TCS, Infosys, CTS etc visit the college for interviews.  The college provides very good facilities and support to teach you coding and if you are really interested in it, then you will be able to master it with your patience and hard work.  And your coding skills are not determined by your college or branch.  You should be really passionate about it to be successful in this field.  Categories Chemical Engineering at HIT CSE at Techno India Course Fee 3.95 lakh 6.32 lakh Highest CTC 12-15 LPA 15-20 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA 7-8 LPA Recruiting Companies GlaxoSmithKline, Bengal Chemicals, etc. Wipro, Infosys, Dell, HP, etc. Hence, both the colleges are very good with excellent placements and academics and it completely depends on your interests in which branch you would like to study and build your career.Read more

Ques. What was the CGPA of the student who grabs the highest package at Haldia Institute of Technology in chemical engineering department?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 23 Sept 21

Ans. One of my brothers was placed in a prominent company through on-campus placement. As per his experience, CGPA isn’t required for the process of getting a good job.  He scored 9 CGPA and many of his friends scored less than him yet they were successfully placed in prominent companies. The reason behind this is that marks hardly matters when recruiters visit campus moreover, they are all focused on your knowledge and skills.  Getting a good placement is definitely a dream for all the engineers but you definitely have to brush up on your skills and knowledge before sitting for the recruitment process. Read more

Ques. Will it be a good choice to choose the chemical branch in LNCT Mains Bhopal?

● Top Answer By Janvi Bhambri on 21 Sept 21

Ans. LNCT Bhopal is without a doubt Madhya Pradesh's most reputable private engineering college. In addition, LNCT is the only engineering college in Bhopal that offers Chemical Engineering among the 65 private engineering institutes. This institution provides appropriate guidance as well as practical analysis. But Chemical Engineering at the institute does not enjoy the same exposure as branches like CSE or IT. If you want decent placement opportunities then you will have to work for them on your own. In 2021 placement drive Chemical Engineering students from LNCT were recruited by Indian Oil, Tata Chemicals, Reliance Petroleum, etc. Read more

Ques. How is the chemical engineering branch in Haldia Institute of Technology? Should I join?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 15 Sept 21

Ans. Chemical Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology used to be one of the best courses at the institute. But with years the condition of this branch has gotten worse. The old faculty members have retired. The current faculty base is not that great.  I have a few friends from the institute and according to them, if you are keen on exploring the field of chemistry then Haldia would not be one of your best choice institutes. But the placements here are decent. In the 2020 placements, the highest and average CTC offered was 3.5 LPA and 24 LPA. Read more

Ques. Is chemical engineering at jntuh is good?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 13 Sept 21

Ans. Yes, chemical engineering at JNTU is good. If you are interested in chemical engineering, then it's the best place to pursue it.  Infrastructure: The Chemical Engineering branch started at the institute only a few years ago. It does not even have a specific departmental block. It shares the block of the Metallurgical department. CE also doesn't have their own labs. Students go to other departments to do their lab work.  Placements: The first batch of Chemical Engineering graduated in 2018 and it had good core placements. Companies like Vedanta, ITC recruit Chemical Engineering students. In recent years the average CTC offered at the institute is 9 LPA.  I will advise you to only opt for Chemical Engineering if you are interested. If a student needs only the tag and brand of JNTU then choosing a chemical branch will not be a good idea. Read more

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I have interested in chemical engineering because I am love to study chemistry and it's application. By choosing this course you have a large opportunity in industrial as well as the government sector. The facility is good and student to teacher ratio is also good. The teacher is highly qualified like they are the semester exam happens in Dec and May and the paper is easy for you if you study well otherwise you have some difficulties if you didn't attend class or lab

Placement Experience :

In the fourth semester, the students are eligible for placement and the student has no supply all semester. Otherwise, you are not eligible for placement. A company like google, amazon Wipro and other it and food companies visited in college. The highest package in the college campus is 6to7lakh pr annum and the average is 2-5lakh pr annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structures in this college for b tech are 53k to 54k if you take direct admission. If your financial situation is weak then you have to give jee mains paper and by counseling, you join this college. And the fee is 15k to 28k. Placement Experience :

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

Campus Life :

Here campus life is good. There is always a seminar, function in a week. We have our college fest Chemchord and our annual GGSIPU fest Anugoonj. The library here is quite large and we'll maintain it. Despite that here is basketball, cricket, volleyball ground, and TT court. There is a university canteen but its food is not good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here is 72k/ year since it's a university so it's quite cheap as compared to other colleges of GGSIPU. Here are various scholarships available for students belonging to the EWS category and other scholarships funded by NGOs. Even I also got scholarships here.

Remarks :

The best thing about IIT Bombay was the liberty and exposure it provided to the students. Right from academics and research to a plethora of extra curricular activities. It allowed you to pursue careers in fields one could not even think of before joining college. I have friends from college, who today are pursuing research as PhD students and at some very good core companies and at the same time some are among very good athletes & actors. Also, in spite of a gender ratio of 10:1, you can always find boys and girls working together towards common interests.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum is generally a bit out dated but still much ahead than the rest of colleges in India. Academics is okayish, I say this because the professors don't inspire you to take academics as something you love and they are rather more interested in their own research. But having said that, if you are determined enough to pursue it, its like no place else. You get some of the best mentorship and facilities to work with.

College Events :

Campus life is amazing. Its all like a extended family at campus. You have nuclear families like, roommates/wing mates, then you have clubs/groups/academic batch. And these are all connected someway or the other. On fests, there's a joke always on; everything at IIT Bombay is Asia's largest.

Campus Life :

Yes, the university is so big. I like the environment of Vizag-the city of destiny. The campus is 100 acres. Every branch has it's own dedicated department. Even we have foreigners over there in the college. But I found lots of those are Africans. It's not a big problem. I promise the campus is very lovely.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am interested in chemical Engg because it is new and interesting. 10:100 f:s ratio of all faculty is well-educated Ph.D. holders. 2 semesters per year and exam pattern and question is not so easy. You will pass easily by your good behavior towards faculty

Placement Experience :

No idea about campus placements as I am a first-year student but I interacted with my seniors they said. Yes, campus placements are available but not too much

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Considering the fees. This is the least what you can spend to complete your engineering degree in the entire country. With 10000 per sem for all the regular courses and 20000 for all the self Supporting courses, the fees are at times lesser than the travel cost for certain students. And the boarding fees are around 25000 per sem. There are also a variety of scholarships available in the college which could be received by passing certain interviews. The first class of the scholarship is the Alumni Scholarship which provides 20000 per year (almost covering up the tuition fees). And the most important thing is there are no extra charges charged on the students for anything. All the industrial visit charges are taken by the college. Apart from this, we have the state scholarship and the central scholarship also available in the college. Such great assistance and a never burden fees structure which makes a more constructive thought on the college. On the whole, a year fee is around 70k

Campus Life :

Wow, here comes the most interesting part of the college, though the college is a bit old fashioned in the hostel infrastructure the cultural and fests held throughout the sem make the life in the college more memorable. The social life is extremely delightful and friendly. I have felt at times the best social life available. All the classrooms have a projector in the teaching complex whereas the labs and research areas are at a separate place for each subject. The University also has a very big ground and all the indoor-outdoor games are there. A separate swimming pool is also present which charges 50Rs/hour. There are more than 50+ clubs the college which include NCC, NSS, YRC, NSO, Tamil clubs, music clubs, Entrepreneurship clubs, the student quality council, Rotaract club, and still more... The students are free to choose their interested clubs and work with them in their college life. And certain clubs even provide opportunities even after college life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My interest is on the research side and I chose chemical engineering specifically for that. Note that chemical is entirely different from chemistry. It majorly deals with designing and developing products satisfying the needs in society. Speaking of the course, it is also one of the reasons for my choosing this college. Anna University has one of the best track records in the chemical engineering field. And in my college the student-faculty ratio is about 36:1 for the freshers and then once into the departments it varies around 23:1. The staffs and professors are well talented and really responsive in any situation. I can assure you such a good student-staff relationship in the college. And particularly mentioning the term exams or the assessments kept, yeah the semster pass on so fast and the assessments are usually kept twice in a semester. The difficulty of the exams entirely depends on the student. When the subject is understood well it is much easier.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because in our state Gujrat there are many chemical industries and in future, the demand for a chemical engineer is high so based on that reason I choose chemical engineering. Faculty is very large and faculty members experience around 20 years average faculty members are kind and very knowledgeable. All the members are postgraduate and some of the faculty members belong from IIT AND NIT in half of the semester 4 exam 3 seasonal exams and one final exam.

Placement Experience :

There are many companies is a visit to our college like in chemical engineering RELIANCE, SR, NIRMA and many more but placements are around 36 out of 120 students in 2020 so placement is very bed. So around 30 percent student is placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure is very simple but the fees are very high for safe student around 150000 per year and for government students 7000 per year. MYSY and other food bill scholarship. Job is around the average package is 2.3 lakhs.
