Master of Arts (MA) is a master level course of 2 years duration, in the field of Arts that offers many specializations in different languages, humanities and liberal arts subjects.

This most pursued course is highly valued because of its objectives and anyone with a Bachelor’s degree can apply for this course. The admission procedure is usually done through MA Entrance Exams such as BHU PET, JNU EE, PU CET, etc. 

MA Syllabus and course curriculum is different for every specialization and varies from course to course. But it mostly includes classroom training, lectures, group discussions, field trips and in most of the courses, a compulsory dissertation submission.

Like any other academic oriented course, MA also trains students in classrooms with the help of theory and practical lessons, internships, research projects, assignments, etc.

In many MA courses, there are compulsory field trips and at the end of two years, students are also required to submit their dissertation work which they must have done during their project internship or field trip.

Usually, the course usually has 4-8 main core subjects which are compulsory, and there are many elective courses which a student has to choose to fulfill the requirements. The number of elective courses varies from college to college. In Delhi University, students can choose from upto 20 elective subjects.

In all the MA courses, almost 70% marks are acquired through theory cases, and 30% is on the basis of assignments, projects work, performance in the internal assessments and field trip.
