Ques. Is it worth doing a PGP HRM at IIM Indore?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 24 Aug 21

Ans. IIM Indore started a Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Human Resource Management (HRM) in the year 2018. It has been only a few years since the program started so it is a bit too early to say if it is worth it or not for everybody. However the exposure the students get and the faculty is top-notch.  The course design is really very good and can be compared to even top HRM institutes such as TISS, XLRI Jamshedpur, and MDI Gurgaon.  The HRM students study the first year with the regular MBA students and thus get a fair idea about general management as well. The institute conducts industry visits, internships, seminars, and workshops regularly so that the students get an idea of the real business working conditions.  The college also has an Industrial Interface Program (IIP) which is separate from the regular summer internship program. It gives you exposure to the real world of business. So I would say that yes it is worth doing PGP HRM from IIM Indore.Read more

Ques. Which is best for MBA HR: SIBM Pune or NMIMS Mumbai or SCMHRD?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 16 Jul 21

Ans. The colleges that you have mentioned are quite old and reputed, leaving behind a history of a great placement record and a bright future. Human Resources has become a promising field in today’s time. A good HR assures that the aspects of the business they work for proves to be fulfilled along with allowing the employees their own space wherein they give importance to the clients. Based on certain parameters, allow me to compare all the three institutes so that it gets convenient to choose the B-School of your choice. Categories SIBM Pune NMIMS Mumbai SCMHRD Course Fee 17.26 lakh 6.04 lakh 11.94 lakh Highest CTC 35 LPA 16 LPA 18-21 LPA Average CTC 18 LPA 8 LPA 10 LPA Recruiting Companies Crisil, HSBC, etc. Berger, ITC, etc. Mindtree, ICICI Bank, etc. My suggestion would be to consider NMAT and even SNAP so that you get a better view to choose from. Some promising prospects are indeed offered by NMIMS and SIBM-P, but I believe you should go for that particular institute which is reputed for its HR department.Read more

Ques. How about studying PGDM SM at Jaipuria, Jaipur?

● Top Answer By Admin on 30 Jun 21

Ans. MBA or a PGDM in the Service Management branch, Jaipuria Institute of Management (Jaipur) would be a good choice. With India becoming a service-based economy, these courses have huge potential. Jaipuria is a reputed name in management education. Recent NIRF ranking suggests it is comparable with IIM Udaipur. Given its legacy in management education, you can expect seamless delivery of the PGDM SM course. New courses generally have an uncertainty of placements. But this is not a problem for Jai[puria as a vast pool of recruiting companies to visit the placement drive. The institute also successfully secured internship offers for all students of PGDM SM’s first batch. Also, Jaipuria is truly a student-friendly institute. Help with everything from training, mentoring, coaching, industrial visits, guest interactions, international tie-ups, etc. The faculties are great and go the extra mile for students.
