Ques. What is the average package of NLSIU Bangalore after doing an LLM?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 13 Oct 21

Ans. As most of these LLM graduates start off on the academic side of things, the pay grade is equivalent to that mandated by the UGC for all institutions in all states. You can get a job role for an Assistant Professor or the likes.  However, this does not stand true for Private Institutes that hire LLM graduates. They most times than not, do not pay more than the government institutes. But it all depends on your personal choice and the kind of work environment you would like to be in.  You can always consult with the immediate batches to understand the current standings on the placement front. Connect with them one-to-one and you might get a better and clearer idea of what to expect. Read more

Ques. How is LLM in Azim Premji University?

● Top Answer By Vaishnavi Agrawal on 01 Feb 21

Ans. Azim Premji university is a private, non-profit institution with affiliation from UGC. It offers BA, MA, L.L.M, B.Sc. courses. A relative of mine who has been studying there has recommended the Institute based on its eligibility criteria, good placements and campus life.  Admission and eligibility criteria - To be eligible for admission, students are expected to have passed LLB courses of 3 year or 5 year duration followed by a written test and interview. The L.L.M course at Azim Premji university is lucrative for its course structure, which sets it apart from others.  A very significant part of the curriculum is the fieldwork component, which is a unique feature of APU. The fieldwork element plays a crucial role in providing a different perspective of the law, which students would have studied in theory. The typical structure of exams is also absent from the LLM course at APU. Instead, response papers are given to students with a deadline of 24 hours for submission of the paper. This new approach to the exam system at APU, helps the student to be more attentive towards the course curriculum, ensuring long term retention of the knowledge gained. The faculty of APU has been vouched for as one of the best, by many former students of the university, even considered better than other law schools of repute. Overall, APU is a very good university to do your LLM from. Everything at the university starting from campus life to placements will surely meet up to your expectations. This distinctive aspect of APU, makes it a different and a much better alternative to other universities following the traditional approach and also the National Law University(NLU).Read more

Remarks :

All experience was good except one. There was a male staff PRO, a very arrogant and psycho man. It was very odd to see a male in 100s of ladies. I was unwell n had a small surgery was on complete bed rest. I was supposed to submit my journals for practicals which I could not do on my own. As the last date was arriving I had requested my husband to submit it in college along with a medical certificate. This PRO did not accept my journal saying how can you justify this medical certificate is genuinely given by a doctor. To my knowledge, no medical certificate is complete without the doctor's name and registration number. He ill-treated my husband who had only been there to drop the project, my husband also being a practicing lawyer managed to ensure my project was submitted somehow. Only the worst experience ever their.

Admission :

Pursuing a master after LLB was my interest. College timings here were in the morning at 7.30-10.30 am. I was working in a law firm situated at fort, Mumbai and this was the best opportunity for me to complete studies without affecting my job. Being a women's schooling gave a more safe environment too. Teachers and their teaching skills were so eye-catching, studies made it easier. I am thankful to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The semester system was there. Course divided into 4 semesters. Yes, the staff was very much capable enough. Even though I don't remember the name of any teachers but I am sure many future students would have learned alot from them. Unfortunately, we did not have any campus selection at that time as far as I remember.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fees for the one year Ll.M course Are 60000 but I can be paid in installment bases too. The fees can be paid in cash and there are various other modes too for the same. The scholarship is being provided to the merit student which really sounds like an award by getting a deduction in fees. In terms of financial assistance, the college helps to get a loan by giving all the documents which is needed for applying for it, and just by giving an application, we don't have to call them or visit them daily for all this.they just provide it with the application. And there is a different department which takes care of job and internship for the students by which many students in the college have got their job and internship too with the good package in good and reputed companies and firms across the country. The minimum salary package is 1-3 lakh and the maximum all depends on the knowledge and academic status of the student too. The fees consist of everything bus fees + tuition fees+ library + other thin

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I want to pursue a master's in law after completing my BB.A.LL.B so that I can pursue my career in the academic field of law. I have done my specialization in the corporate law for which I had an interest for and that too .There around 50 students in the batch and the college provide LL.M for one year as well as for two years with many specializations available for the students so that they can choose it according to their interest. The faculty is qualified and quite knowledgeable. Any faculty is appointed by giving a session to the students and being reviewed by the students only. The exams are on the basis of the semester and it's not such hard to pass if one has studied and if not then definitely it will be hard to pass. The exam is conducted in the month of December and another semester in the month of May- June. And we get internship leave for a month too. The college has 10-15 qualified faculty and we have a library with well knowledgeable librarian too.

Campus Life :

The campus life is cool as the campus is far away from the city that is in Arang so we have to travel by bus. The arang is a very beautiful village and the campus is surrounded by greenery all around it. The college has annual function every year which is very famous in the city named Matsutsav in which some or other renowned celebrity is invited it is conducted in the month of February in the Arang campus and many other small fests, the seminar is conducted timely basis. All the necessary books are available in the library which can be easily issued. The classroom has all the necessary amenities required such as board marker duster , chair benches proper light and ac fan, dustbin everything which is required for the classroom is all available. Each yeah sports are alslo conducted in the college and students also take part in various sports competitions both at inter College and national level too . Well their are various cells that are run by students under the guidance of the prof.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As this course in only a 1 year course, the fee charged is feasible in my opinion an in compare to other colleges. They are charging Rs. 1,15,000 for the whole course which includes rs. 33000 as tuition fee, rs.3000 as admission fee and rs.79000 as other fees.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The LLM is a master degree in law. This includes the detailed study to every single law in Indian constitution which will be studied by student and will be taught how to implement it by teachers. The exam structure is divided into 10, 30 and 50 marks.

Placement Experience :

They provides placements with lawyers or with big corporation as corporate lawyers. But some students prefers to do start up as independent lawyers. As most of students are experienced it's not difficult for them to find job off campus.

Admission :

I was wanted to something more than LLB in Law and this was the calling. Applicant has to upload the testimonials, photos, signature and other required documents. These documents should therefore be kept ready to hand before applying. Make the registration valid by paying the ?egistration Fees? Candidate will get the chance of upgradation in their preferred institutes if any seat remains or will become vacant. The admission fee in case of upgradation will be adjusted.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Post Graduate program has been designed to enable students, depending on their inclination, to either opt for niche specializations or inter-disciplinary breadth. It offers an opportunity to obtain a specialized two-year LL.M degree. The course helps to understand the law on an ground level with practical examples.

Placement Experience :

As far as I know, there's not been any placements in the Law branch till now, as placement company haven't reached out to the Law Branch. Mostly placements have been in other technical departments and not Law. Internship solely is a student's choice during vacations. The college does help with the internships.

The university organizes many curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities for mental, physical and professional growth of the students. Many indoor and outdoor activities, sports activities, cultural activities, literary activities are organized by our university. In my university life, i mostly participate in all the activities . I enjoyed a lot in participating in all the activities. It was a fun and memorable moment for all of us.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees of the one year course was around 1,10000 lakh rupees. The fees was to be paid in two installment. My first six months fees was around 55000 rupees which includes admission fees, registration fees and examination fees. In the next six months, i again paid around 55000 rupees. The fees was expensive as most of the students who are economically poor cannot afford to pay their fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship facility was provided by the university. Students belonging to reserved category of Maharashtra state offered scholarship by the Government of Maharashtra. Scholarship are also offered for the students domiciled in other states in accordance with Central or state government rules and policies.
