The cost to study is a little bit higher side but economically weaker students get a fee waiver which is quite helpful. And a lot of other scholarships are provided to students, such as there is a James Thomson scholarship by which students whose rank is under 250 in Jee Advance get Rs.25000 per month for 10 months every year during their entire course.

Campus Life:

The annual cultural fest is Thomso which is held in October every year and the annual tech fest is Cognizance which is held in March every year. The library here is quite big and anyone can find the book of their need. The campus has a great sporting culture as this 2022 sports meet IIT Roorkee was the winner of the combined General Champion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being an excellent student in science it became my area of interest and led me to opt for higher education in this field The faculty and student ratio was quite similar to in other colleges but the classroom condition and student-teacher intersection felt better than any other college I have applied for. The whole course was divided into 4 semesters and each semester contain practices, viva, and 2 sessional tests.

Campus Life:

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose chemistry as my subject. but I love chemistry, chemistry provides you with better knowledge of how chemical reactions occur in the industry and is also very useful in daily life at IIT. There is a total of 57 students ( 35 boys and 22 girls) in 1st yea. professors are really well educated and good human being also. They help you anytime if you have any problem with a subject related or something else and one of the final question is 1-time exam are done by a team and conducted by an iit

Campus Life:

Depends on you how you balance your proper work and other cultural activity if you balance both then definitely life is amazing at iit. obviously, you are not disappointed with the books bcz there are soo many books are available in the library to go to the library and find your needed books in iit there are many sports facilities like football, cricket, badminton, hockey and cheese, volleyball etc. After 2 or 3 months, there has a fest organized by iits students.

Recently in our department, our seniors have arranged the fresher's party itis so amazing and we also give send off party every year that is followed by our seniors. The library is also good there are a lot of books which we needed. Mentors in our class are also good because they will interact with us and as well as teachers to guide us. Every semester there will be an extracurricular activity for students like visiting companies and schools. There are such groups and a web page is created by students.

Placement Experience:

Students who are in the 4th semester or in their final year will eligible for campus placements. Anthem bioscience, reddy's laboratory, and other companies will visit every year. And they will offer 3lakh to 6lakh salaries for I think the highest package is 5lakh that is anthem is offered for students. Around 15% of students are getting placements. My plan is to go to work in the company as a research fellow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing this university was my hardest decision because I was not beware of the faculty members and specification of having chemistry honors. But later on, while studying in my class it was a great experience till now. Faculties are well-behaved and have great experiences ahead. We used to do regular classes for which there is no pressure when the examination was on our heads.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

As it is a state centralized University government by Odisha government it has various broad students application throughout all the departments. and also the admission fees are very much stable for all the students. In chemistry honors it is just 3000 rupees only.

We have our college Union and Member in the union is elected by-election. After the election, the members and the teachers along with the principal decide the festivals and other celebrations that can be included in the academic year. But there will be a Fresher's day for freshmen and a Sendoff ceremony for the final years. Each Department can choose to conduct fests in its department buildings and other students can visit with the permission of their Tutors. The Library in our college is vast and had a lot of reference books. And we have 2 other Government libraries nearby. So we can collect text from them too. The classrooms are a bit old-style cause the college was built in the early 1930s by the British Govt. It's a very old college but the Chemistry department is very modernized and built in the late 1990s. Chemistry students are not allowed to attend any Sports or other activities because of lab schedules. We've NSS and NCC and a lot of other Clubs too, which we can enjoy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Chemistry faculty in my college was so good and very capable. They take care of all the students individually. Especially when it comes to Laboratory classes, the teachers along with the lab assistants were always available and very supportive. I choose Chemistry because I love Laboratory experiments and Chemicals. And my interest was piqued after joining the college. That's Why I did a Master's in Chemistry too. For 40 students there were 10 teachers including 2 tutors and 4 lab assistants for our batch. All of our teachers were Ph.D. holders and University toppers. We're provided with a detailed Curriculum and a list of textbooks for reference. We make our notes with the help of teachers after every lecture, they help us to make notes and clear our doubts. We were in a semester batch. And had exams every 6 months. The questions were out of the syllabus and often difficult to get a high score. You need 1.5/4 to pass.

Ques. How is Kurukshetra University for MSc in chemistry?

● Top Answer By Srinjini Roy on 20 Oct 21

Ans. I have a friend who completed his M.Sc in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University. He advises against joining the institute. According to him, it’s better to prefer a central university or an IIT for your M.Sc degree.  Only the Organic Chemistry department is good. The other departments of Chemistry are not that great. The research culture is also not that effective. Only the first year of your M.Sc degree will be worth it. The final year is more like a formality at Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry department. Read more

A lot of the students, however, do not have respect for the university as the pattern of the exams is not regular and the classes are just as irregular.  There are usually 10 available seats and selection in this college is carried out on the basis of an entrance exam. Here the fees are much more reasonable than other colleges. If you study here, you may not get the best exposure but if you work hard, you could have the chance of succeeding also.Read more

Ques. Is it possible to prepare govt exams with parallel M.Sc Chemistry at Acharya Nagarjuna University? Please give suggestions about time management.

● Top Answer By Chestha Singh, on 30 Oct 21

Ans. Preparing for a government exam parallel with M.Sc Chemistry, is a bit tough. Here are some reasons as to why it could become difficult. You will have 4 days of lab class including physical, organic, inorganic and analytical lab. You will have assignments to write, records to be completed, and seminars you need to attend and prepare for. You will have to prepare for C-1 and C-2 internals. Try maintaining a proper schedule, plan your activities beforehand. If your classes become strict you will hardly get enough time to study during the day. But make time either early morning or late at night. Make a to-do list as you are preparing for competitive exams.  Make daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals and stick to them. If you are traveling try to use the time effectively by reading inorganic theory concepts or try solving previous year’s government exam questions. Usually in chemistry most of the organic and inorganic are heat-related experiments. If you have free time, utilize it by visiting the library and reading books on inorganic chemistry. You could also complete your assignments to stay a bit ahead. You will be left with 4-5 hours because of your M.Sc. but it is still sufficient, as you can study effectively between these hours. Make short notes and focus one day on revision, do mock tests to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and work on them.Read more
