Here is his insight into the general placement scenario for MTech at NITs.  Over the years it has been seen that the placements for M.Tech students are comparatively less as most of the companies demand B.Tech graduates as the freshers or even experienced candidates. However, in some cases, M.Tech students are considered, like in research and development-oriented jobs. However, most industries prefer B.Tech over M.Tech.  After pursuing M.Tech your area gets narrower due to which the situation becomes very tricky for both the employers and the candidates applying for. As far as all the colleges are concerned the placement statistics are not so good for M.Tech students. Ques. How was your MS electrical engineering interview at IIT Madras?

Ans. A friend of mine attended the M.S interview back in 2019. Here is his experience. According to him, there are two parts, first a written test then an interview. For the written test first, don't forget to check for questions from the IIT madras EE website. In the interview, they will ask you those questions which you were not able to answer in the written test. My friend attended an interview for EE3. So he was asked questions that were mostly from MOSFET, MOS capacitor, some questions were from the basics of semiconductor physics. Even a few of the questions are from BJT also. They even tested basic mathematical skills as well like graph plotting and graph interpretation. You need to be thorough with your concepts and also make sure you study a good book on microelectronics and solid-state physics before the interview. Hope this gives you some idea about the interviews. Also, you will have the shared accommodation in a hostel and can eat food from the mess by collecting coupons or from the restaurants on campus.Read more

There is good gender ratio and we participated in all the activities together. All activities are participating by all students, different workshops webinar seminars organized in University campus to improve knowledge of students with the involvement of boys and girls.

The highly qualified and experienced academic environment is good to study and can gain knowledge. Students who really want to study they can improve their knowledge and can get help to placement which is provided by University in time to time in/off campus.

Admission :
