Ans. NIT Trichy has great placements for branches like CSE and ECE. Most of the recruiting companies give preference to B.Tech students rather than M.Tech. But as far as Communications Engineering is concerned, you will be allowed to appear for placement drives held by semiconductor companies with B.Tech students.  There are quite a few companies that prefer Communications students over VLSI. Many students end up being placed in dream semiconductor companies. Out of say, 35 students, only 1 or 2 are not placed. The placements are definitely improving over the years.
