Eligibility for M.Tech. in Signal Processing

Ans. NIT Trichy has great placements for branches like CSE and ECE. Most of the recruiting companies give preference to B.Tech students rather than M.Tech. But as far as Communications Engineering is concerned, you will be allowed to appear for placement drives held by semiconductor companies with B.Tech students.  There are quite a few companies that prefer Communications students over VLSI. Many students end up being placed in dream semiconductor companies. Out of say, 35 students, only 1 or 2 are not placed. The placements are definitely improving over the years. The institute offers an excellent placement record of 92-95% for the undergraduates every year.  Placement Highlights: NIT Surathkal witnessed 80% placements in MTech. Around 286 companies visited the campus in 2019. Ans. IIT-M and IISC both are well-reputed institutes and good options to pursue M.Tech in ECE. However, IISc has a more enhanced approach towards high-end research in MTech. Both the institute offers decent placements for the M.Tech in ECE. IISc has an Office of Career Counselling and Placement(OCCap), which takes care of the placement of the institute. The major recruiters at IISC include Microsoft, Flipkart, Adobe, Qualcomm and government agencies like HP and Bharat Petroleum. The average placement package offered in the 2019 placement drive was 15 lakhs. The internship hiring of the 2020-21 batch had the highest stipend of 1.15 lakh per months while the average was 57,000/- per month.  The average placement rate for MTech at IITM was 66% in the 2019 placement drive. The top recruiters included Google, HCL, Intel, Cisco, IBM, Dell among many other government and international organizations. The average CTC offered was around 12.4 lakhs while the highest was 17.5 lakhs. Given below are a few factors which the students are required to consider before selecting between the two colleges:- Placement:In terms of placement, the average CTC of IIT Bhubaneswar stands out to be 11.5 lakhs/annum. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, IBM, etc visit the IIT Bhubaneswar campus for placement drive. Campus Life :

Campus life is nice. As this institute is near suratkal beach, you can beach daily. Sports ground is there to play cricket, football etc. Swimming pool is there. Gym facility is there. Indoor game badminton court is there. Equal opportunity is provided to alll without any gender bias. As this is a national institute so one can expect students from different parts of the country. politics is not there much.

Admission :

I qualified 2012 GATE. I took admission in system analysis and computer applications branch. I was looking for computer science stream but didn't get during counseling. Counseling was online. After allotment of college I visited the institute for admission. This institution was among top five of the Indian institution. so no problem in choosing the college.

Placement Experience :

Best institute for placements. You will have so many opportunities for placements. Try to maintain high CGPA as top companies allow the students having higher CGPA. Generally more than 8 CGPA is preferable to have. LinkedIn, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, microsoft etc. like companies visited for the placement. good internship opportunities.
