AILET Score 2023 Calculation
- BA LLB Course: 150 Objective-type questions are asked for each correct answer 1 mark is provided with a negative marking of 0.25.
- LLM Course: 50 Objective type questions are asked and 1 or 2 marks are provided for each correct answer. negative marking of 0.25 is followed in the paper. Additionally, 2 descriptive essay-type question is to be written which carries 75 marks.
- Ph.D. Course: A written test that carries 50 questions for 1 mark each is qualifying in nature. Additionally, 1 descriptive essay-type question is to be written which carries 50 marks. Candidates securing more than 50% (General category) and 45% (SC/ST) will have to submit their research proposals to the committee. The final selection depends on the presentation of the Research Proposal.
AILET Tie Breaker Criteria
In case candidates are given the same marks for AILET 2023 Exam, the tie will be broken using a set of rules that are decided by NLU Delhi. Given below are the tie-breaking criteria
- Candidates who get higher marks in Legal Aptitude will be ranked higher.
- If the tie persists, candidates who are senior in age will be ranked higher.
- If even after the application of the above two criteria, the tie persists, the rank will be determined by computerized draw of lots.
