AIPGDEE (All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam) 2020 is a national level entrance exam for admission to MDS courses across India in various dental colleges.
All the aspirants are advised to carefully go through the AIPGDEE 2020 exam pattern for a comprehensive preparation plan. The syllabus for AIPGDEE 2020 is based on the syllabus of BDS courses. The AIPGDEE 2020 is 3 hours duration Computer Based Test (CBT) and consisting of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
The states of Jammu &Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are not part of AIPGDEE. AIIMS, Delhi is the conducting body for this entrance examination. The AIPGDEE 2020 Application Form is expected to be available from October, 2020.

AIPGDEE 2020 Scheme of Examination
The AIPDGEE 2020 test will be conducted in the online mode with the language of the medium being English. The duration of the exam will be three hours.
- Total number of questions
There will be a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with only 1 correct answer for each question
- Marking scheme
4 marks will be awarded for every correct response while no marks will be awarded/deducted for any question left unanswered. Also, questions that are marked for review will not be marked.
- Negative marking
1 mark would be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Moreover, any question with more than a single response marked would be considered as a wrong answer and therefore negatively marked.
AIPGDEE 2020 Exam Day Instructions
All the successful applicants are required to abide by some of the exam day instructions notified by the exam conducting authority on the day of conduct of exam:
- Candidates are advised to report at their allotted centre of examination at least half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the AIPGDEE 2020 has already begun
- Candidates are not permitted to carry any cellular phones, wristwatches, pen drive, memory card, pagers, calculators etc. inside the examination hall.
- Applicants should not carry any type of textual material (printed/written), electronic gadgets, pen, bits of papers inside the allotted exam center.
- Applicants must bring their AIPGDEE 2020 Admit Card, one photograph and ID proof to gain entry to the examination hall.
- In case a candidate is found to be using/copying/ conversing with other candidates or having in his/her possession any electronic gadget, papers, notes or books, he/she shall be disqualified from taking the AIPGDE 2020 examination and the next one or two such examinations according to the nature of his/her offence and its intimation will also be sent to the DCI/State Dental Council and the concerned Dental College for necessary action.
- Candidates are required to maintain silence and attend to their papers only. Any disturbance inside the examination hall shall be deemed as misbehavior and the candidate responsible for the same will have to forfeit his/her right to continue the examination.
- It must be noted that the decision of the Centre Superintendent shall be final, conclusive and binding.
AIPGDEE 2020 Syllabus
The syllabus for the AIPGDEE 2020 entrance test for candidates seeking admission to the MDS course would be based on the syllabus of BDS Curriculum.
The syllabi for the AIPGDEE 2020 will include all the topics/subjects that was taught during the entire duration of the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 and as amended from time to time.
The questions of the test shall include subjects like basic sciences, para-clinical and clinical subjects.

Candidates appearing for AIPGDEE 2020 are advised to check the preparation tips suggested by some of the experts and candidates who have appeared for the test before.
- Revise the course thoroughly.
- Candidates should focus on understanding and remembering the applied aspects of all the topics to help in recollecting the topics.
- Focus on topics that are difficult to understand such as Public Health Dentistry.
- Certain subjects like Physiology and Biochemistry can be studied simultaneously since one is conceptual and theoretical.
- Use pictorial diagrams and charts to understand the concepts in a better way.
