AIPGDEE 2020 Reservation

AIPGDEE (All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam) 2020 exam is conducted to get admission to the MDS (Master of Dental Studies) course. The AIPGDEE 2020 reservation guidelines define the reservation criteria for the applicants of different category. The reservation criteria are defined over the 50% seats that are permanently reserved under the All India Quota. The AIPGDEE 2020 reservation criteria is applicable to the students of the following categories:

  • SC (Schedule cast)
  • ST (Schedule Tribe)
  • OBC (Other Backward Classes)
  • PH (Physically Handicapped)/PWD (Person with Disability)
  • State reservation ( if applicable)

AIPGDEE All India Quota and State Quota 

During AIPGDEE counseling and seat allotment procedures, the candidates will be allotted seats according to 50% All India Quota i.e. 50% of the total seats will be reserved for candidates of different categories. Besides All India Quota, the candidates while taking admission to different participating college, has to follow the State Quota policy too. The State Quota policy will confine to only that state where the participating institution is located and the state from where the candidate hails. The Medical Counseling Committee, India will be responsible for the reservations under All India Quota. For the state quota, the concerned authority of the respective state will be responsible.


AIPGDEE 2020 Reservation Criteria 

The AIPGDEE 2020 reservation is according to the guidelines devised by the Hon’ble Supreme court. In the case of any discrepancy, the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble court of Delhi will be accepted. The reservation criteria will be followed during the AIPGDEE 2020 Counseling process and AIPGDEE 2020 seat allotment procedure.

In order to avail the seat reservation on the day of the counseling, the candidate must clearly and correctly state his/her category during the AIPGDEE 2020 Application Process.

AIPGDEE 2020 Reservation for SC and ST Candidates 

The reservation criteria states that 15 % of seats are reserved for the students of the SC category. The AIPGDEE 2020 reservation criterion explains that 7.5% seats from the 50% reservation quota are reserved for ST candidates.

The claim for admission under the reserved category is based on the reservation certificate. The reservation certificate is issued by the competent authority. The reservation certificate should not be more than 3 months old. The name of the candidate will be verified from the list contained in the central office.

The language of the certificate should be English or Hindi. In case it is in any other language then the certificate has to be converted to Hindi or English language. In the reservation certificate, it is compulsory that the sub caste is also clearly stated. In case it is found that the sub caste details are incorrect the certificate will not be considered.

AIPGDEE 2020 Reservation for OBC Candidates 

The OBC certificate is applicable and important for the candidates who wish to get the seat under the OBC quota. The reservation will be valid only in those colleges which has reserved quota for OBC candidates. The candidate who belongs to the OBC category but wishes to get a seat in a college which has no OBC reserved seats has to go through the general counseling process.

Besides the OBC quota will be valid for only those candidates who fall under the Non Creamy Layer. Creamy Layer OBC candidates cannot avail the reservation for OBC. Also if the OBC candidate has a rank in both the OBC category list and Unreserved Category list, then he/she can claim seat through anyone of the ranks as per his/her choice.

The OBC certificate has to be issued by the competent central authority. The name of the candidate will be verified through the central list. If the name of the candidate is not found in the central list then the candidature will be terminated. The list of colleges offering reservation for OBC category students are:

AIPGDEE 2020 Reservation for PWD (Person with disability) Candidates 

There are two types of reservation for PWD category. Type 1 is for the candidates who have disability between 50%-70% and type 2 has disability between 30%-40%. The candidates of the PH category are getting a reservation of 3% under the All India Quota.

The distribution states that 3% seats are reserved for candidates who have a disability of lower limbs between 50-70%. The remaining 3% seats are for the candidates who have a disability of 30-40%. If the 3% seats reserved for PH1 category (locomotion disability between 50-70%) are vacant, then such seats are converted to PH2 category (disability between 30-40%).  The seats falling vacant even after conversion is done will be open for general category candidates.

The candidates of the PH category also need to present the treatment papers on the day of the AIPGDEE 2020 counseling. The treatment papers will be verified. In case, any false claim is found the legal action will be taken.

The candidates who wish to get the admission under the PWD/PH category need to produce a PH certificate. The PH certificate has to be signed by one of the following disability assessment authorities:

Note: PH certificate issued by any other authority will not be considered valid.

Documents Required for AIPGDEE 2020 Counseling 

To get the seat allocated under the reservation scheme the candidates have to go through the AIPGDEE 2020 counseling process. The counseling process involves the following details:

  • AIPGDEE 2020 Admit Card is required at the time of counseling.
  • AIPGDEE 2020 rank letter issued by AIIMS institute, Delhi.
  • Mark sheets of all the semesters of BDS course.
  • Internship certificate issued by the designated authorities/ Internship completion certificate to be signed by the college authorizes. The Internship completion certificate will be accepted only if it states that the internship will be completed before 31st march 2020.
  • The registered dental practitioner number. The certificate to be issued by the DCI or State Dental council.
  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets.
  • Identity proof like Aadhar card, driving license, PAN card. The photo in the ID proof must be clear and the card must be valid.
  • Character certificate from the previous institute.
  • For candidates of reserved category the reservation certificate is required. The certificate should not be more than 6 months old.
