AIPGDEE 2020 Result, Scorecard, Merit List and Counselling

AIPGDEE 2020 (All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination) will be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi every year for admission into the post-graduate dental programmes in the country.

AIPGDEE 2020 Result is expected to be announced in December 2020. Candidates can check their AIPGDEE 2020 results on the official website of AIIMS. The result of AIPGDEE 2020 will be announced in the form of All India Rank (AIR).

It is important to keep in mind that the rank letter for AIPGDEE 2020 will not be sent by post and the candidates would be required to download it from the official website at least 1 week prior the AIPGDEE 2020 Counselling Process

AIPGDEE 2020 Result Highlights

The candidates who have not been able to qualify the AIPGDEE 2020 must note that their result will not be intimated to them individually. However, the marks scored by the individual candidate in AIPGDEE 2020 will be made available on the official website after the AIPGDEE 2020 admission process is completed.

AIIMS does not have a provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of papers. Hence, candidates having doubts about their scores are advised to refrain from writing to AIIMS in this regard. Candidates should note that AIPGDEE 2020 rank letters will not be sent by post, it should be downloaded from the official website.

How to check AIPGDEE 2020 Result?

AIPGDEE 2020 results will be expected to be declared in the 3rd week of December 2020. The results will be available in the form of merit list. Candidates can check their results by following the given steps-

  1. Visit the official website of AIPGDEE 2020
  2. Click on “Result”, available at the left hand side column
  3. A PDF file will open in the new tab
  4. Candidates can check their results by searching their roll number or the name mentioned

As soon as the AIPGDEE 2020 Result will declare, the students will be able to check whether their names have been appeared in the AIPGDEE 2020 Merit List or not. Candidates who have successfully qualified the exam will be able to download their rank letters.

AIPGDEE 2020 Allotment Of Seats

There are seats available under different quotas for admission into the MDS programme. Some seats are available for 50% All India Quota while some are present under State Quota. There are also some seats that fall under Armed Forces Dental Institution. Candidates can apply for the various seats for which they are eligible.

Separate AIPGDEE 2020 Merit Lists will be prepared for seats under various quotas. Candidates who have qualified the examination and made it to the AIPGDEE 2020 Merit List will be required to download their rank letters once it is made available on the website.

The AIPGDEE 2020 Merit List will be prepared purely on the basis of merit. Ranks will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their performance and marks scored in AIPGDEE 2020. No other factors will be taken into consideration.

AIPGDEE 2020 Merit List

AIPGDEE 2020 Merit Lists will be released on the official website after the declaration of AIPGDEE 2020 Results. The Merit List will contain the names of all candidates who have successfully qualified the AIPGDEE 2020 entrance examination.

Upon finding out that a candidate’s name has been included in the Merit List, he will be required to download the rank letter. The Rank Letter will be made available on the official website of AIIMS. Candidates should make sure that they download the rank letter before AIPGDEE 2020 Counselling begins. No rank letter will be sent to individual candidates by postal service.

Merit List for AIPGDEE 2020 will be prepared separately for seats under different quotas. However, no separate lists will be prepared on the basis of a candidate’s category. The final list will be made available after the result declaration.

The Merit List will be prepared purely on the basis of merit, considering the candidate’s   . It will consist of the names of the candidates, arranged according to their All India Rank (AIR) in AIPGDEE 2020.

AIPGDEE 2020 Merit List for seats under All India 50% Quota

  1. The number of qualified students who will be allowed to participate in AIPGDEE 2020 Online Counselling will be 5 times the number of seats that are actually available under All India 50% Quota.
  2. Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be included in the All India 50% Quota Merit List. Hence, it is important for the candidates to know whether they are eligible for admission to these seats or not.
  3. In order to be eligible for admission to any postgraduate course, a candidate must obtain minimum of 50% marks in AIPGDEE 2020.
  4. With respect to those candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum marks required is 40%.
  5. For those candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs, a minimum of 45% marks will be required.
  6. A candidate, who fails to obtain the minimum eligibility marks in AIPGDEE, as stated above, will not be admitted to any PG programme for 2020.
  7. For candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs lying in the range of 50% to 70%, 3% of total seats are reserved.
  8. In case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled, candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs in the range of 40% to <50 will be considered, before they are included in the annual sanctioned seats for General Category candidates.
  9. The reservation of seats in medical college/Institutions for respective categories will be done as per applicable laws prevailing for All India Quota.
  10. An all India merit list of the eligible candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in AIPGDEE 2020 and candidates will be admitted to MDS courses from the said merit list only.
  11. The merit list prepared will be equal to the number of seats available for allotment in MDS courses under 50% All India Quotas. A waiting list equal to 4 times of the merit list will additionally be prepared as well.
  12. The list of successful candidates (Merit List/ Waiting List) will then be forwarded to the Medical Counselling Committee, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling.

Merit List for seats under State Quota:

The state level merit lists of all eligible candidates who have qualified AIPGDEE 2020 will be prepared by AIIMS, New Delhi. The list will consist of names of candidates of different states on the basis of the score obtained by them in AIPGDEE 2020.

This will be done based on the information filled in by the candidate in the AIPGDEE 2020 Application Form with respect to the State Code of Eligibility and Domicile.

The list of successful candidates from each State or Union Territory (UT) will be forwarded to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for onward transmission to the Directorate of Medical Education of the State/UT concerned for the purpose of allotment of seats by AIPGDEE 2020 online counselling. This entire process will be subject to applicable laws already prevailing in the State or Union Territory (UT).

Merit List for seats under Armed Forces Dental Institutions:

Those candidates who have opted for seats under the AFDIs will be able to participate in the AIPGDEE 2020 counselling process as well. A separate merit list for category “Armed Forces” will be prepared and provided to the Directorate General of Dental Services for admission to Armed Forces institutions.

This merit list will also be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in AIPGDEE 2020 and the students will be allotted All India Ranks (AIR). Candidates will be called for counselling process of AFDIs based on this merit list.

AIPGDEE 2020 Inter-Se-Merit

It may so happen that two or more candidates have obtained the same exact marks in AIPGDEE 2020. If such a situation arises, certain norms have been prescribed for the allotment of ranks to the concerned candidates in the AIPGDEE 2020 merit list.

In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the competitive entrance examination of AIPGDEE 2020, their inter-se-merit will be determined in order of preference as under:

  1. Candidate scoring less negative marks
  2. According to age, an older candidate will be given preference over a younger candidate
