ANUPGCET 2021 Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme, Questions Pattern

ANUPGCET 2021 is a state level exam that will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Gunter tentatively in 2nd week of May 2021. The exam is conducted once every academic year for candidates who have completed or are in the final year of graduation. As ANUPGCET (Acharya Nagarjuna University Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is conducted for various subjects, each subject has different syllabus based on relevant subject topics.

  • The exam will be offline/pen and paper based.
  • The question paper will be of a total of 100 marks.
  • The question paper will be objective type.
  • The question paper will contain 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry one mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The question paper will be in English and Telugu languages.
  • Candidates have to indicate their answers only on the OMR sheet that will be provided with the question paper.
  • Time duration of the exam will be 90 minutes.

Exam Pattern 2021

ANUPGCET 2021 Exam Pattern in Detail

ANUPGCET 2021 exam paper will consist of 100 objective type questions. In all the multiple-choice questions, candidates will need to select only one correct answer, unless otherwise directed. 

  • The paper will be conducted through pen and paper based mode.
  • It will be a 90-minute duration exam.
  • As for the marking scheme, each question will carry 1 mark.
  • Note that there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Candidates have to indicate their answers only on the OMR sheet that will be provided with the question paper, using black ball point pen only.
  • Candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions given on the OMR Sheet for answering questions in the examination.

  • There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • For every right answer, 1 mark will be allotted.

102-Physical Sciences

The Syllabus for Physical Sciences exam is as follows:

  1. Electricity, Magnetism and Electronics: This will include topics such as Electrostatics, Dielectrics, Capacitance, Magnetostatics, Moving charge in electric and magnetic field, Electromagnetic induction, Varying and alternating currents, Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic waves, Basic Electronics, Digital Principles, Logic gates
  2. Thermodynamics and Optics: This will consist of questions relating to Kinetic theory of gases, Thermodynamics, Thermodynamic potentials and Maxwell’s equations, Low temperature Physics, Quantum theory of radiation, Statistical Mechanics, The Matrix methods in paraxial optics, Aberrations, Interference, Diffraction, Polarization, Laser, Fiber Optics and Holography,
  3. Mechanics and Waves and Oscillations: This will include topics such as Vector Analysis, Mechanics of Particles, Mechanics of rigid bodies, Mechanics of continuous media, Central forces, Special theory of relativity,  Fundamentals of vibrations, Damped and forced oscillations, Complex vibrations, Vibrations of bars, Vibrating Strings, Ultrasonics.

103-Mathematical Sciences

The Syllabus for Mathematical Sciences exam is as follows:

  1. Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus: It will include questions from topics such as Linear Algebra, Multiple integrals and Vector Calculus, Real numbers, and Differentiation and Integration.
  2. Differential Equations: It will include questions from Differential equations of first order and first degree, Differential equations of the first order but not of the first degree, Higher order linear differential equations, System of linear differential equations.
  3. Solid Geometry: It consists of topics such as The Plane, The Line, and The Sphere.

104-Statistics

The entrance test for Physical Education will consist of 100 multiple choice questions from the following six papers not less than 15 questions in one each paper.

Important Instructions

Important Instructions

Candidates are advised to read and follow the below given instructions carefully so as to avoid any confusion or problem on the day of the examination.

  • No candidate will be admitted into Examination hall without Hall-Ticket.
  • Candidates have to indicate their answers only on the OMR Sheet provided along with the Question Paper.
  • Candidates have to bring black ball point pen for marking on the OMR Sheet.
  • Candidates are required to go through instructions given on the OMR Sheet for answering questions in the Examination.
  • Books / Tables / Mechanical / Electronic aids / Cell Phones / Mobile Phones / Pagers are not allowed in the Examination Hall. Possession of these items in the Examination hall is an offence and disciplinary action will be taken by the Chief Superintendent of the Examination centre.
  • Candidate will not be admitted into the Examination Hall after a lapse of 15 minutes after commencement of the Entrance test. The Candidate will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall after lapse of 60 minutes of commencement of Entrance Test.
  • The Chief Superintendent of the Centre may take any disciplinary action against candidates resorting to malpractices in the entrance examination will be dealt with in accordance with the University rules.
