AP ICET 2022 Result has been released by Andhra University. Candidates can check their results on the official website- cets.apsche.ap.gov.in by using their registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth. Only candidates who qualifed for AP ICET 2022 are issued rank cards.

A total of 37,326 candidates have qualified for AP ICET. The passing percentage for AP ICET 2022 is 87.83%. Only candidates who qualify for AP ICET 2022 will be eligible for AP ICET 2022 Counselling. Reddeppagari Khetan has topped the exam with 180.55%. How to Check AP ICET 2022 Results?

Candidates need to follow the below steps to check AP ICET 2022 results
  • Visit the official website of AP ICET 2022.
  • Click on the link available to download AP ICET 2022 Result.
  • Enter your registration number and hall ticket number.

AP ICET 2022: Qualifying Criteria

  • Candidates of the general category need to score 25% i.e., 50 marks out of 200.
  • There are no minimum marks for the candidates of the reserved category.
  • AP ICET scorecard is going to be valid for one year only 

Normalization of AP ICET 2022 Scorecard

The main aim of the normalization is to justify the candidates who got a difficult paper compared to an easier paper. Hence, the task is to rationalize in the best possible sense and rank the candidates based on global performance. Various national level examination bodies like CAT, JEE (Main), GATE etc. are currently adopting such normalization procedures. Correspondingly, Committee on normalization has deliberated extensively and decided to use the following normalization procedure.

SMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session in which the candidate belongs to

GMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of all the candidates across all sessions together

Top Average Session: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session in which the candidate belongs to

Top Average Global: Average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions together

Weightage for assigning merit ranks: 75% of EAMCET normalized marks and 25% of Intermediate Marks in group subjects to prepare the rank.

AP ICET Result 2022: Re-evaluation Process

If any candidate finds an error in their result, they have the privilege to apply for re-evaluation along with a fee of INR 1000. After the declaration of AP ICET 2022 result, candidates have to submit the application and fee within 15 days. Candidates must submit the fee as a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the Convener, APICET – 2022, payable at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on any nationalized Bank.

  • Considering the marks score in Section - A.
  • If there is a tie, marks obtained by the candidate in Section - B is going to be taken into consideration.
  • If the tie persists, the tie will be resolved by taking into account the age of the candidate. The older candidate will be given priority.

AP ICET Cutoff

AP ICET Cut off 

The exam conducting authority Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) has prescribed certain guidelines for the preparation of AP ICET Cut off list. Read the cutoff guidelines  below:

  • The total marks of AP ICET 2022 are 200. General candidates have to qualify for the cutoff of 25 per cent marks (50 marks out of 200).
  • No qualifying marks have been prescribed for SC and ST categories.
  • In case more than one candidate scores the same marks, a tie-breaker will be applied. The criteria for tie-breaker is as follows:
  1. Marks scored in section A will be considered.
  2. If the tie still persists, marks obtained by the candidate in section B will be referred for tie-breaking.
  3. In case the tie still continues, the tie will be resolved by taking into consideration the age of the candidate. Older candidates will be given preference.

APICET 2022 Counselling

The counselling will be based on the AP ICET cutoff 2022 released as the ranks shared in the cutoff will decide if candidates are eligible for Counselling of AP ICET and other admission formalities. The AP ICET 2022 cutoff will vary among all participating B-Schools and will be different for candidates belonging to various categories. It will be available in online mode only in pdf format and the link will be shared on this page when shared by the authorities.

Following steps are involved in the counselling process:

  1. Firstly, all the shortlisted candidates have to report to the help centres for document verification.
  2. Based on the preferences entered by candidates and availability of seats and merit, suitable seats will be allotted to admit students.
  3. Candidates allotted seats will have to pay the requisite fee and report to the college allotted to them.

Ans. A good rank in AP ICET depends on the secured marks in the exam. The score range of 150-170 can be considered to have the top ranks in AP ICET.

Ans. Malapalli Ramakrishna from Srikakulam has secured the first rank in AP ICET 2021 and got 154.66 marks. In the top 10, there are 4 students from the Chittoor district and there are 2 girls in the top ranks.
