AUAT 2023 Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme, and Syllabus

AUAT 2023 will be conducted in the 1st week of May 2023 for UG courses while for PG courses, it will be announced soon. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. The result of the same will be released in the last week of May 2023 in online mode.

  • The total number of questions asked is 100 and time provided to resolve these will be 2 hours.
  • AUAT 2023 question paper would be objective type except for the questions of language part which is subjective and descriptive type.
  • The question paper will be sectioned into two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B.
  • PART A – Questions were common for all the candidates and questions were asked from the fields of English, Islamic studies and General Knowledge.
  • PART B – Syllabus will be different and as per the course opted by candidate.

By appearing for AUAT 2023, candidates can get admissions to various colleges in various fields of graduation and post-graduation, affiliated to Aliah University. Admissions will purely depend on the marks scored and rank acquired by candidate.

AUAT 2023 Exam Pattern in Detail

AUAT 2023 is conducted offline by Aliah University at the allotted center which is mentioned on the hall ticket. A total of 100 objective type questions will be asked, which must be solved in 2 hours.

On marking every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded. Also, as there is no negative marking, students can attempt all the questions in the test. There will be two parts of the question paper, Part A and Part B.

Part A comprises English, Islamic and General Knowledge and Part B will contain questions based on the course opted by candidate. Below table describes AUAT 2023 Exam Pattern:

AUAT 2023 Marking Scheme

AUAT 2023 will be of 100 marks in totality. The test will be divided in two parts which had 100 question altogether. All the questions carried equal marks. The first part of the question paper will be of 25 marks and second part will be of 75 marks respectively.

AUAT 2023 Syllabus

The syllabus of AUAT 2023 examination will be segregated into two sections and it is mandatory that candidates must have a knowledge of the Arabic and Islamic studies. The syllabus decided by concerned officials of Aliah University must be understood precisely to score good marks and get into the desired college affiliated to the University. Both the parts comprises of different syllabus which is tabulated below:

PART A

The subjects covered under Part A are English, Islamic Studies and General Knowledge. Questions pertaining to Reading Comprehensions, Para Jumbles, Grammar and Vocabulary. Under Islamic Studies, candidates will have to attain in-depth knowledge of Islamic Literature and Culture.

Candidates will be asked questions based on legacy of Islam, its literature, Quranic Islam, History and Philosophy of Islam, etc.  The third subject of Part A is General Studies which entails questions from Politics, Economics, Business, Sports, etc.

PART B

The topics covered under each program vary, however, for B.Tech and B.Sc. programs subjects included are- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who appear for B.Sc in Biological Science will have to study topics covered under Biological Science.

Exam for 5-years Integrated B.Sc- M.Sc in English shall be based on reading comprehensions, Para Jumbles, Grammar and Vocabulary. Similarly, subject-specific topics will be covered for Business Administration and Geography. Those appearing for Postgraduate courses will have to go through subjects and topics studied at the time of Graduation.

AUAT 2023 Important Instructions

  • Report at the exam center half an hour prior to the commencement of AUAT 2023 exam.
  • Students would be prohibited inside the test center without the issued admit card by Aliah University.
  • Electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the test center which includes mobile phones, calculators, etc.
  • Follow all the instructions given by the invigilator and do not open the exam booklet seal unless instructed.
  • You will be granted 10 minutes’ time to read the test booklet thoroughly and few minutes to fill in all the information in the answer sheet.
  • Sign on the answer sheet as well as on the attendance sheet in the presence of invigilator.
  • In case, you do not fill in accurate details, the answer sheet may not get considered, resulting in disqualification from the exam.
  • Answers should be darkened correctly in the given OMR sheet.
  • Candidate is not allowed to leave the test center before the given timings.

Candidate who is found guilty of any unfair means like cheating or peeping in someone else’s paper, will be held responsible for the disqualification.
