CAT Answer Key 2022- How to Raise Objections?
- The provision to raise objections to official CAT answer keys was introduced in 2018.
- Applicants who appeared for the exam can challenge the official answer key of any question asked in the entrance examination. If the objection is found to be genuine, the authorities will release the revised official answer key.
- Also, the objection fee will be refunded to the candidate whose objections are found to be genuine.
- In the 2021 session, changes were made in Shift 1 & 3 answer keys but one question in the QA section was changed in Shift 2 based on the objection raised and submitted by candidates.
How to Submit CAT Answer Key 2022 Objections?
Follow the steps given below while raising the objection against CAT Answer Key:
- Visit the official website of CAT.
- Click on the tab “Candidate Login”
- Now enter CAT Login ID and password.
- After that, the candidate personal details page will open.
- Click on the tab “Objection form”
- Use the “+” icon to add an objection
- Now candidates need to select details like Question number, section, and type of objection need to be chosen.
- Pick one of the three options - (i) None of the options is a correct answer (ii) More than one option is a correct answer (iii) The answer key is incorrect.
- Pay objection fee i.e. INR 1200 per objection through debit/credit or Net banking.
Fee to Challenge CAT Answer Key 2022
CAT Answer Key challenge fee per question is INR 1200. This has to be paid along with the Transaction Processing Fee for Raising Objections, which is tabulated below:

CAT 2022 Response Sheet & Calculation of Score
To calculate CAT 2022 score with the help of answer key, candidates need to follow the steps given below:
- For each correct answer, 3 marks are awarded, which means if the candidate has got 70 answers correct, then the score will be 70x3 = 210 marks.
- For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. So, if a candidate has responded 10 questions incorrectly then negative marks are -10.
- Now subtract total marks deducted from total marks scored to get CAT Raw score which is 210-10 = 200 marks.
